The best part of Sol y Mar is the owners, Lori and Rick. Very hospitable, friendly, and tries hard to give everyone an enjoyable time at the beach. Easy access to deserted beaches. Food is all excellent, but be aware of the 13% tax and 10% service charge. That took me by

If you're looking for a place to turn off the real world and disappear for a while this is it. Rustic little cabinas right on the beach with excellent food and great bar. Staff is great, very accommodating. Great beach, no crowds just an awesome little spot

I brought my kids, 8 and 10, in June (off season) for one week to Sol y Mar as the first leg in a longer itinerary. At first I was sure this would be too much time in Zancudo, but I'm now regretting the brevity. Sol y Mar is rustic. This is very close to camping. But the cabinas

This was an amazing place to stay. Cabinas are comfortable, clean and well maintained. The adjacent restaurant/ bar has an incredibly friendly and helpful staff and is open all hours of the day and night. I don’t know when these people sleep. There is live music at least once a

"When you wake up and step out your door you have a decision to make: Do I walk 100 feet to the beach and go for a swim? or do I walk 120 feet to the bar and restaurant for food and beverages? Don't worry: if you can't make up your mind, there are comfortable hammocks located at approximately the halfway point in either direction where you can stop, relax and thoughtfully review your options."
"The only thing we missed was not having a coffee maker in the room. The restaurant opens at 8 am , so it was not all that long of a wait."
"Ocean facing downstairs - 2 bedroom of newly built yellow house"
"There are cabins not rooms, and rooms in the house as far as I know. Ask Rick and Lori for advise."
"WiFi can be intermittent in the cabins but fairly reliable at the bar/restaurant. All the cabins are the same and have water/beach views."
