We went for the winter whisky experience (free accommodation and breakfast and £50/head per day for whiskies!), and we were not disappointed! It's a great opportunity to try different and more expensive whiskies, and proprietor Tatsuya and bar staff Billy and Felix were all very friendly, interested and helpful. We started on their 'aperitif flight' suggested six with our own...

Have just returned from a 2 night Whisky break and had a wonderful time. Comfortable and friendly hotel, spotlessly clean, super-comfortable beds. The selection of rare and unusual whiskies is out of this world and the bar staff, Billy and Felix, were knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. It was wonderful to have the chance to taste whiskies which I would never...

We stayed in a house which the hotel owned which was across from the hotel. We were booked in very quickly then taken across the road to our accommodation. The house I guess built in 1900 was not what you would have expected of hotel accommodation. The hallway was chilly and the painted embossed paper on the walls were grubby....

I was in Scotland on business and needed a hotel in the middle of the Spey area as I had a number of places to visit. I chanced on the Highlander Inn as it seemed good value. On first appearance it looked like a big Pub beside the road and that basically is what it is. However inside its a...

Owner was very nice and the bar staff nice too. We were staying in one of the houses adjacent to the main hotel and we could park right outside the door. The curry was one of the best I have had and would recommend that. Brekky wasn't bad but not the best. One night our heating was not working and...

We, four friends, stayed at the highlander inn for 3 night to visit the speyside area to take some walks in this beautifull region, but most important to see some distilleries and taste some lovely whiskies. The owner, Tatsuya and his staff are very friendly and always ready to help you. The food is really very good and the room...

Ask if Tatsui is in the house. You will not find anyone more knowledgeable about whisky in these parts. And he's balanced about it too - he loves and offers a large selection of the Japanese ones but his collection of the Scottish - pretty much any area of the world, is to die for. We were given this place...

My wife and I stayed at the Highlander Inn for 2 nights and it was just about everything we could have hoped for! The bar is truly the highlight -- not as flashy or grand as the Quaich down the street, but more intimate and cozy, warmer, and with a whisky collection that seems to carry a history of its...

We went there for a business dinner. The pub food was good and the stuff fine. There is a chance to enjoy British pub games. The whisky choice is probably the most comprehensive I have ever seen. I just watched this time.

This is a lovely traditional pub close to the banks of the Spey, serving excellent food and with a great selection of whiskies. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable though perhaps a little pricey for the standard.
