Deep in the heart of whisky country this hotel is a 'must visit'. My wife and I stayed for one night while we were visiting friends and the experience was outstanding. The welcome was warm and friendly and our stay just got better and better. Cocktails at 6 and then dinner at 7. The head chef has created a very... More

We were in the pub copper pot which was nice. The log fire started to smoke and smoked the bar out a little. The food is decent if not slightly over priced, buy they cater a lot to the tourist trade. We ate in the bar and not restaurant. Definitely worth a visit. The staff are nice as is the... More

Bedrooms are well appointed and very comfortable, although I understand not all have the views across the river valley that our's did. The Copper Dog restaurant is downstairs in the "basement" and is a mix of quaint country pub and modern cocktail bar and restaurant. The Quiche... More

This is without doubt one of the most elegant hotels in tbe area. Victorian charm with a modern twist. The public rooms are large, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Roaring open fires to relax at. The restaurant - the copper dog - serves excellent, well cooked and locally sourced ingredients. The whisky bar is world renowned and with nearly 800 whiskies,... Went for Afternoon Tea with an itison voucher, it was fantastic. It was a return visit for my parents who have also eaten in the restaurant and raved about the food. I had the gluten free option & totally scored 2 proper sandwiches, full slice of carrot cake, cheesecake & cute little chocolate pots. All delicious. The waitress had a... More

Stayed one night and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Great restaurant and bar onsite - will not disappoint! The hotel staff and restaurant staff were fantastic as well - excellent service at every level. The hotel bar had an immense selection of single malts and my husband was in whisky heaven!
