Given the wonderful reviews, we were disappointed. Our meal took forever in the evening, the children were becoming very tired waiting ... The meal was mediocre, over cooked salmon, reheated chips. Our room was adequate, lovely large bathroom. Coffee tray had one large cup, one small, one saucer and no spoon. Breakfast was poor, full English was reheated, my poached... More

Fantastic! Try it for yourself. The copper dog has a great relaxed atmosphere with excellent locally sourced food an drink. One of my favourite restaurants and I've tried a few in my time. A gem in Speyside and ideal for exploring the local area.

Loved everything about this hotel. The copper dog restaurant serves wonderful hearty Scottish meals in a great environment. The downstairs bar was buzzing in the evenings enhanced by live music. The upstairs quaich whisky bar has a mind blowing selection of single malt whisky and expert bar staff to guide your whisky journey. An evening cocktail was included in the... More

Just popped in here for lunch, with really good friends. Spoilt for choice with the menu in the Copper dog. We all chose different dishes, and I had the fish pie ! Well chosen, and I would have it again, and again, and again. We were with a local butcher and also raved about the restaurant.

First trip to Speyside, and this hotel was a perfect introduction. Best points: the fabulous bed; the whisky bar and its manager, Lyndsey; the beer selection in the Copper Dog Bar. Staff can be stretched at peak times when the hotel is full, as it was on our trip, but they remained unfailingly helpful and cheery. Will most definitely stay... More

We had been driving for 5 days around the Scottish highlands and this was probably our favourite hotel stay. It's a lovely boutique size, set in an older authentic building with heaps of character. Reception was friendly and helpful .. The drawing room and bar lounge were particularly inviting. Dinner was good too and quite popular with the locals. The... More

We dined in the Copper Dog at the hotel. Atmosphere was perfect. Dinner was delicious! Loved the fish n chips. Great opportunity to try some whiskey tasting. Recommend reservations as they fill up quickly, especially during summer. The town is lovely and well worth a walk around too. It's quaint and beautiful.

Just home from another wonderful visit to The Craigellachie Hotel to celebrate my father in law's 86th birthday. The meal was beautiful, the staff were extremely attentive and professional and the surroundings so relaxed and calming. I cannot praise the staff enough, giving particular mention to Lauren who arranged our function meticulously, to the friendly, welcoming manager Kevin and to... More

The bedroom overlooked the main road ,was hard to locate as the number had fallen from the door and no direction was given from the reception.Invaded by traffic noise throughout the night . It took 4 glasses and the barman to wash a glass before he found one which was not dirty. The floor of the restaurant was littered with... More
