Besides the most incredible view, this hotel offers great rooms, beautiful swimming pools and nice surroundings.
The all-in formula is very extensive and the food is great, lots of choice and everything is very tasteful (and warm).
The dining room with the 270° view is spectacular.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they really add to the holiday experience.
They have 3 pool bars and the Safari bar in the middle of the area, which all are great, have friendly staff and plenty of choice in drinks and snacks.
We normally do not like animation teams at the swimming pool and never participate but this hotel has, with Kitti and Panda, the best animation team I have ever experienced.
Their enthusiasm is so infectious that all the guests are waiting for them to appear so they can join the aqua gym and/or the water Zumba.
Both workouts are fun for all!
We stayed in the hotel during COVID-19 and we must say that they have done everything to make our holiday as safe as possible without losing any of the holiday feeling.
All door handles, railings etc.. were disinfected regularly, toilets cleaned multiple times a day, hand gel was available everywhere.
For breakfast, lunch and dinner, the same range was offered as outside the COVID period.
You only had to point out what you wanted and the staff scooped it onto your plate.
We want to thank all the staff at Kalithea Horizon Royal for a great holiday during this difficult time and recommend the hotel to everyone !!!!
Arrived at Rhodes Airport to an expected Covid test which my husband had, no news was good news and we made the most of an autumn break.
I cannot say enough about the Hotel, room, cleanliness, grounds, food, the staff, the staff!
Our waiter was very attentive and looked for us every meal time, knew our drinks order and had it ready. He was chatty and really great, I just wish I got his name!
Maria and Johan at the safari bar were brilliant!
DJ Panda was great fun for the kids and was fun during all the quizes!
Anastasia was absolutely brilliant. Does that girl ever get a day off, we was there 10 days and saw her every day, all day but watching her you wouldn't know it. Was great with my youngest who was 8.
Everywhere, and every outdoor bathroom area was cleaned meticulously all day. Made you feel very safe. All the play equipment was regularly cleaned and there was hand sanitiser stations everywhere.
We was in room 932 with amazing sea views. Gorgeous, spacious rooms which was cleaned every day.
Food was always plentiful with lots of dishes to choose from, servers on every station to ensure no one was waiting around.
Very quiet, many days around the kids pool there was just us, this suited us. We loved how quiet it was. Went to faliraki beach which was a 10min taxi ride away for 12€ to enjoy the watersports. Also had a ride to Rhodes old Town Harbour to catch a day trip to Simi which was incredible but the boat ride made it a long day. (Nearly 4 hours round trip)
Would definitely go back to this hotel again.
The main negative points were in my opinion partly down the management of the situation we all find ourselves in, naming COVID19!! Firstly the main restaurant Poseidon had food stations scattered around the place and one staff responsible for serving food from a number of stations which mean times you were standing around at a station for ages before someone would come back round to you and serve you, I don't place any blame on the serving staff for this they did the best they could but felt there were better ways of managing the situation and certainly organizing the food stations. This didn't seem such an issue in the Thalassa restaurant so we went with that restaurant for the rest of the trip after a few failed trip to the Poseidon. The other negative point is around the gym. It was only open Mon-Sat and from 9-4, which had to be booked with a max of 3 people at anyone time. This meant when we asked to use the gym there was only one time for one person available for the entire period of our stay. At other hotels guest were able to use the gym 24hrs a day and were given a key to enter the gym to keep the user to a safe number. The room only had one power socket for use in the room by the bed, which considering the number of devices we all have nowadays was shocking poor.
Overall would I recommend this hotel, Yes, would I return to it, definitely.
When we arrived pretty late they quickly checked us in and provided us with a nice light plate of food before taking us to our rooms. We went in the mini bus as we were a large group with suitcases.
Now this is a really large complex resort, probably one of the biggest I have ever stayed in so it is a large spread and if you are fit and healthy then you will have no problem walking to the various bars and pools.
They do offer a gold buggy service which you can phone reception up at anytime for those who may struggle to walk.
The hotel rooms we stayed in were near the Mythos pool and was pretty centre to the whole resort. The rooms were clean and spacious for 2 people to share, we had housekeeping each day to make the beds and keeps rooms clean.
You had great snacks available at the Mythos pool bar and the staff was fantastic and really friendly. We enjoyed drinking in the Safari Bar at night and we took 1 night out of the resort to go to Faliraki.
Yes there is 2 different bands of inclusive, one for Germans and another for other nationalities. From what I hear that TUI Germany sell packages with more price on it to include this added feature of using the beech bar free of charge. Anyone can upgrade this option though but I don't think it was needed as we didn't go to the beech, we preferred the pools.
Overall a fantastic holiday and whilst Greece/Rhodes wasn't our first choice due to Covid, it was a pleasurable week to relax from this hectic year.
so we kept to the pools of which you have three choices. Plenty of bars too which close at 11pm but music carries on for a while after. Please be aware you must download another PLF before your return to England or it causes at passport control we were unaware of this until we were on the bus back to the airport and it was a long process. But I cannot fault our treatment by the staff who were lovely.
Everyone is so friendly, polite and will do anything for you.
I felt safer at the hotel and in Rhodes then in England. The hotel staff are constantly cleaning with rooms sealed after guest departures ready for new guests, all touch points constantly cleaned. Masks and gloves worn by all guests at every meal time.
From Dimitris on reception, to the lovely Eleni the guest relations lady, to ileni at the pool bar who always remembers your previous orders, to the amazing waiters who always make me laugh - Fotis, Stavros and the true gentleman Apostolis. Christos makes the most amazing omelette and Pizza. Agapito makes the best cocktails - always ask for the bartenders special, you'll get a different one everytime and they're all amazing! Mr Savvas always greets you with a lovely smile. Panda and Anastasia gives so much life to the Hotel. I forget the name if the pancake man but he always took the time to make a conversation, a very lovely man.
This was the first year I visited the recently renovated beach and it was the best snorkeling i have ever done!
There is food to cater for every taste. I will be returning again soon!
Miss you all already
The waterpark in the hotel is suitable for all ages!
The staff are friendly helpful and kind you never see them without a smile on their face nothing is too much trouble for them.
George the Matridee went over and above for us dedicated to guest experience and spent the time to get to know my disabled adult son making sure he was happy and had everything he needed treating him as an equal
Zoe in the Delfinia best waitress ever lovely friendly and efficient food in here is amazing if you like pork try the pork chop it’s huge.
Safari bar staff on the night great fun and nothing too much trouble always laughing
The resort is beautiful clean well maintained with breath taking views.
The rooms are clean and well maintained
Due COVID parts of hotel not open but this did not create an issue as what was open was great.
I had my wedding in whilst we were in Rhodes and although it was not in the hotel I cannot thank the hotel enough for all the special touches they added to our stay.
Thank you for our room allocations and making sure our wedding party were all allocated rooms together
Team Kalithea Horizon Royal thank you so much we look forward to a return visit.
If you have any doubt on booking don’t it’s truly amazing location, views and staff.
