Princess Flora Hotel consists of 166 spacious rooms, all with bath, air- conditioning, television, refrigerator and a balcony over. Princess Flora is an ideal hotel for a holiday on the beautiful island of Rhodes, having a lovely atmosphere suitable for families, couples and friends. Facilities include bar, satellite TV lounge, separate recreational room with several games and a computer for Internet access. The main restaurant is next to the lobby and there is a large swimming pool.
The hotel was kept very clean and tidy with the house maids in every day. The staff where very friendly, hardworking and helpful with every day information as well as helping out with our flight information.
In general the Hotel is clean, rooms well serviced, staff are friendly and its comfortably an above average three star hotel. The Hotel does not have any double beds only twins put together, in spite of what is advertised. Air conditioning is charged at € 7 per night except during July-August when it is included. Internet WiFi is available in the recption area only and charges start at €3/30mins. (You are better off going to Vodaphone on 42 AMERIKIS str and buying at 15 day, 2GB local internet sim-card for €20)
On the all-inclusive there are a few things that do not really meet the expectations of travellers used to 3-star (or above) offerings. Coffee is available for breakfast and dinner (not lunch) in the main building. The pool-bar DOES NOT SERVICE all-inclusive guests free of charge between 12-14:30 (lunch is served between 12:30-14:30). Between 17:30 and 18:30 (dinner between 18:30-20:30) there is NO SERVICE AVAILABLE what so ever. I guess OK if you know about it and don't have your mind set on lunching poolside in your swimsuits but difficult to wrap your head around otherwise in my view.
In my personal view it is not OK to have a 90min black-out period of service during the day for all-inclusive guests nor to force them away from the pool to the main restaurant for drinks or food for 2.5 hours midday (30mins of which the can not be serviced at all) - but maybe that's only me....?
On the food I would say it is bland. The breakfast buffet is uninspiering with the same basic offering every day. I miss real bacon (crispy or otherwise) instead of the fried slices of ham one often gets in this part of the world. Also, I would also have preferred fresh fruit cut up instead of canned but you don't have to walk away from the breakfast hungary....
Lunch and dinner are much the same, if you enjoy sallad they try to vary the offering somewhat.
There is alway a pasta dish (catering to the young I guess), an abundancy of parmesan available, two meat and one fish dish with variations around the same themes, one of which often is a casserole. Occasionally they offer chicken as well. The common denominator is however that the warm dishes do not stand out particularly in any way. All meat, fish and chicken is overly cooked and very sparingly spiced. The food is by no means dis-tasteful but if you are staying a week or more you might start craving for eating somewhere else.
A few words on beverages: The tap wine in the dining room is watered down (to various extent) and very varied in quality. The white seems a bit more consistant but the red can vary in taste from acceptable to totally non-potable (ie defect - not just of poor quality). Wines are however offered a la carte at dinner and the wine lover would do well paying for their wine instead. The wines at the main bar are of better consistancy and quality, particularly if you see them serve it from a bottle (and not from a box in cupboard). There is an all-inclusive drinks menu that has the no-frills basics, served a bit on the strong (alcohol-wise) side for my taste but surely ok for those who prefer such.
All-in-all I guess that you choose a three star hotel for a reason and have to adjust your expectations accordingly and hadn't it been for the blackouts in servicing, not having full access to the pool bar while it was open and having to pay for air-conditioning I would have been OK with my choice. But I did stack our fridge and we did go out for lunch and dinner during our stay here. Sure were glad that there were great grocery supermarkets right next door!
If you don't mind these quirks - you'll be OK here...
You must pay at least a visit to Old Town of Rhodes!
A very good holiday - overall. We enjoyed the nice weather of Rhodes. Staff was OK, poolbar very good and in the cantina (sorry i don't call it restaurant) food was good enough, only the coffee was terrible. bus stop in front of hotel, and for 1.80 euros you get in 6 minutes to Rhodes - a splendid city with a magnificent old town. the visists to the city made our holiday from average to very good, otherwise....

The entrance looking lovely clean. The rooms not so. Food is disgusting, I'm far from a picky rather, but even I struggled as did many others from chatting. It was often cold. Breakfast eggs not cooked properly, ( whites still runny). So much under cooked, fatty meat. Tastes just awful. NO entertainment what so ever, even though hotel website says there is there's nothing. It is Jot in Koskinou, which is a lovely village. Its in the next village Kalithea. Which has a garage opposite. A lidi and 2 restaurants further up. That's it. Nothing there at all. Save your money go somewhere else. Avoid this place. One evening I electricity all went we went to the front desk. He guy told us look at your fuse board. I said no im a guest. Hr replied but I. Not a electrician,. Then just keeper shrugging his shoulders. If give 0 stars if possible. Its now called Alma hotel…

A bit out of the way hotel, a short bus ride (local)to Falaraki ,Kallithea, or Rhodes town. This hotel has great food something for everyone. The drink prices are very reasonable and have a large selection. The only thing was we were the only english speaking people on the complex. Lots of Polish and Russian guests. In all a good and welcoming hotel with great staff. And very clean grounds and pool. Don't listen to the negative comments.

After 2016 we returned to Princess Flora. This week was awesome like in 2016. We booked a superior room and we were on All Inclusive. The food was delicious and good quality. Room was great, comfy, clean. The bathroom need renovation too. Pool was great, beach bar also. Staff is nice. The management should think about to be adults only hotel, beacause we are a children free couple and many times the kid noise was annoying...maybe not only for us. We really liked our vacation and we would like to return again!

Let’s start with the negatives as they were a shock , in 30+ weather 🥵 there wasn’t free air conditioning (it’s cost 7 euro or 10 depending on your room). Another minus is the bathroom quality, the shower holder was broken , you had to hold the shower head all the time not a chance to have a proper wash, there was A bit of mould around and the fan doesn’t work. there isn’t even free public WiFi in the hotel lobby with awfully uncomfortable sofas that basically made you sit on the springs ,also most sun beds were broken. On the good side though, the towels and bedding were clean and well organised (every2 days), comfy beds the staff was nice, good food, easy access to public transport and markets.

We was in Princess Flora, with all inclusive service, from 15. to 24.Avgust, and sometimes looks like nightmaire. At first, we was shocked there is no free WiFi. The next bad surprise is that we got only 3 little soaps for 10 days!!! Breakfast is monotonous, lunch and dinner is not so bad, but all food is mainly tasteless, and often too salty. Fruit choise is very cheaply, only watermelon, and orange, and rarely peach. Dining room haven't air conditioning. In meantime, from breakfast to lunch, you have cheapest cakes, and from lunch to dinner very bad pizza, and poor sandwiches, without fruit. And the worst thing is that you are in the big problem if you have a room on the pool side, because young boys and girls at the whole night louded and jumped in water, and we cant sleep. Severa times I warned recepcionost, but the guys didnt listen and continued with their game. Whatever, I will never back here, and not recommended for you.…

We came to the Princess Flora for 2 weeks on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is in a good location - near enough to Rhodes Town but also far enough away for it to be quite quiet. There is a real mixture of nationalities here and while we were here there were no British louts which was nice. Rooms are basic but clean and large for 2 people. It has air conditioning which was helpful to sleep. There is no free wifi anywhere in the hotel which was a nuisance. Usually they have it in the reception but here it was (in my opinion) expensive (5€ for 3 days for 1 device) We had a big balcony and the room had a fridge too which was really handy as the all inclusive drinks stop at 10.30 which is quite early. There isn't any food available at the bar so if you miss dinner you're a bit stuffed. The closest beach is a 5 minute walk away and I can't recommend it enough. It's small and intimate with a gorgeous beach bar/restaurant which pumps out chilled music all day. The sunbeds are 7,50€ but get booked up quickly but you can reserve them for following days. They also do beds in the middle of the sea which we were told were 20€ per person but when we went back it had jumped to 30€ each which was a bit of a rip off (but we did it anyway as it was our anniversary and it was amazing I have to say). There is also another bigger beach about 8 mins walk from the hotel which also has water sports. It's much bigger as it's attached to a huge hotel complex but the sunbeds are cheaper. The pool at the hotel is ok. Nothing special but it does the job and is relatively quiet too. There isn't a lifeguard and people (including us) use the pool in the evening and actually it was really lovely. The poolside bar serves drinks in between the restaurant opening times and closes at 5.30. It's an unusual set up because if you want a drink at the pool while food is being served you have to go into the restaurant. It only serves beer or ouzo (and soft drinks) from 10am to 12.30 and it has dry looking biscuits and cakes to eat should you wish. From 2.30 to 5.30 it sells other drinks and has plain sweaty sandwiches wrapped in clingfilm and small pizza slices (uncovered) on offer. It could do with a larger selection of food and drinks on offer really. The main bar is devoid of atmosphere as most people sit outside on the terrace. They are very strict with drinks and are slightly (unnecessarily) militant about it. We came back from being out all day and missed dinner but wanted to take 2 drinks each back to the room. We hadn't been there all day and not sure why this caused so many issues. The bar manager (not the bar tender) was quite rude to us which was completely unnecessary considering we just wanted to sit on our balcony with a couple of drinks and our own music. The cocktails offered on the all inclusive weren't great and just full of fruit juices so good I guess if you have a sweet tooth. The entertainment was exceptionally underwhelming and sparse. Location-wise it's a short cab ride to Rhodes Old Town which is amazing and a must for visiting. We first of all got a taxi booked by reception but they put an additional 3 euro charge on top so we started hailing them from just outside the hotel and it only costs 8 euro which isn't too bad. We also got a bus which was €2 and very regular. Food at the hotel was ok. Breakfast was either a cooked breakfast, cereal or fruit, there was also a good selection of food available for lunch and dinner. We aren't too fussy and don't expect amazing food but it was pretty standard for an all inclusive 3 star buffet and we never went hungry. As other reviewers have said they do clean up quickly and if you look away your plate is taken. It was very clean in the hotel and there's a maid service 6 days a week which was impressive. All in all the hotel was good as a base but wasn't somewhere we felt we wanted to spend loads of time which was a bit of a shame considering we were all inclusive. It would have been nice to socialise more around the bar but it wasn't really set up that way. The location of the hotel and beach was good though so we were happy and Rhodes itself was stunning! There are probably much nicer hotels to stay at but this was cheap we did have a great time so if you are after something cheap and cheerful then Princess Flora is ok for you. Highly recommend a trip to Lindos for the acropolis and St Paul's Bay for beautiful beaches! We also went in to Koskinou for the day and there's a gorgeous taverna called Gianni's Taverna which was just beautiful. We had a meze and the food was delicious. Highly recommend. There are also a few other bars around the Koskinou square (don't walk though as we made that mistake and it was a mountain of a hill!!). Extra tip - get snorkeling stuff as the sea is beautifully clear and you can see loads of lovely fish.…

We had a good room overlooking the pool but was quite noisy during the evening due to people being in the pool until late at night and no lifeguards on premises. Food, however, was dreadful same every day with slight variations and no choices for children unless you wanted them to eat chips every day. Peas and carrots on the menu for breakfast and no way of doing toast!!!. Tea, Coffee, Water, Orange Juice and Grapefruit Juice available at breakfast but drinks for half boarders have to be purchased at dinner time. Not even allowed to take in your own water. My 5 year old granddaughter really struggled to eat at this hotel and she is not a fussy eater.

Hmm what to say, that havent be said about this hotel...We had all inc...and that wasn't the right choice for us, because we rent a car, and skip a lot of meals in the hotel...But if you dont want to visit the island i gues that ok...very basic...only two days/of 11..we didnt like the choice of food for lunch and dinner.. Breakfast is international with a lot of variety...for dinner and lunch..let say...every day you can find one meal you like... Coffie is horrible in the hotel....waiters are polite and fast and the most of the hotel stuff. ...I dont understand why they dont allow to bring fruit out from the restoran when you are all inc, and it just for the kids like example 2 peaches ?!?!I couldn't read in commnets before, and i think thats important information, if you go to a local beach across the hotel( 2 of them), you have to cross a very bussy road, and to walk through a road a couple of meters, not suitable for little kids...Hote of the bathroom trash...beause you cant put paper into toilet in gr.We didnt use the pool at all...we like the beach, but i saw a lot of guests spent almoust all the time at the pool which lookes clean.... at pool children can have snacks...sandwich/pizza/cookies and icecream.. It deserves 3 stars and not a star more...You have a rent a car agency in the hotel desk...…

One star because we had to put something to leave the review. We got to the hotel around half 2 in the morning to be given our keys and passports taken until the following morning. Find our rooms and they aren't interlinked so me and my partner had to split up and sleep in seperate rooms with the kids split between us , finally managed to get moved to a family room for the 3rd night. Food is very salty and meat tends to be overcooked lived on oranges for breakfast and I'm not a fussy eater. You had to hold on to your plate aswell turn round to sort the kids out and it could well vanish within seconds. The amount of times we had to put out hands over our plates to stop them being taken is laughable. In the bar on the evening there is no sugar free options so be prepared to only let your kids have water or be hyper. Entertainment is almost non existent we saw one in the whole week and that was a singer who didn't start until around half 9 and by half 10 all inclusive stops and you have to pay for everything water included. Our room there was two showers neither of which had a holder so you couldn't stand under the shower you had to hold it. Water also leaked all over the floor when in use. The air conditioning unit was leaking onto the balcony so if stepped out take care not to slip and fall because tiles are constantly wet from it when it's in use. Kids pool ok but kids cut themselves on the edges of the tiles that were sharp on the floor. My son also had his foot cut by the tiles at the side of the pool where they are damaged. Numerous sun loungers are broken some with screws hanging out some with sharp metal. The umbrellas are torn and old, if its windy watch your head because they fly out almost hitting you in the head. Landed in the baby pool. Never been so glad to get home from holiday before. At least now can sleep, between the solid mattress and the noise from outside and flushs next door did not get a decent night sleep the whole week. Rented a car from hotel which had the airbag under driver's seat exposed and when we got to the supermarket two minutes down the road broke down on us. Luckily it was only a loose battery connection but had my other half not known enough to check that it could have ruined our day.…
