The hotel is very clean and tidy, rooms are cleaned everyday. Only the pillows were a bit smelly. The colors and design is very nice made in typical Greek atmosphere. I don't know what's the hygiene in pool cause we didn't try it but from distance, it looked clean. But the pool is very small and only children would swim there. The location is perfect except for the problems with new resort located next to romantza. The food was extremely poor for all inclusive, more like weaker Half Board, just after 10 days of our stay the food got better. But still there was no desert except for watermelon. Once we had a luck to see some cake or something but even though we went to dinner early there were no cakes. Cereals tasted terrible like gum and no one would eat them. Coffee from so called machine was instant and tasteless or what it was! The meat was almost always greasy and sometimes suspiciously smelly. Drinks for all inclusive guests weren't available on breakfast. If you decide to go on a trip and ask for lunch package you will get just one apple, little chips, juice, water and mini brioche. But the staff was very kind, helpful and talkative. There was also a lo of entertainment for children from travel agency delegates. The drinks in bar were good and lady kind. What surprised me was very small offer of drinks for all inclusive guests. You've gotta pay even for so basic drink as mojito. The wifi was absolute rip off and the thing that drove us all absolutely crazy. The travel agency declared that wifi in lobby is for free which was not true. Everything was paid. They require 15 euros for one device for 7 days. And when you finally connect the internet is extremely poor. They have serious problems with routers which interfere and you get disconnected very frequently(sometimes even once every 5 minutes). Those lucky to establish connection would realise that the speed is a total disaster(we had trouble even sending plain text messages on messenger). I advise everybody staying at this hotel to rather buy sim card with unlimited from affordable cell phone operator(you can do this as a part of your trip to Rhodes town). The road to the beach was full of building waste, iron nails and even glass shards! I was just curious when would somebody get injured. Even though it's not a responsibility of this hotel, they should be more active about solving the problem with road and new resort next to it. When you set off to beach you must count with the fact that trucks will pass on the road few centimeters next to you and you'll be full of sticky dust from the build.…
The hotel is very nice, the pool is big and super relaxing. the restaurants offers many choices and the guys working there are really sweet. I asked for a crib, as I have a 10 months baby and when we arrived late at night we didn't find it ìn the room, they gave it to us just the 2nd day after my complaints. I have to say the cleaning of the room wasn't the best and the last 2 night they left us with french bed sheets for a double king size bed, and even if I told the reception they didn't fix it, so basically we slept on the matress! Apart from this the stay was good and the Island is beautiful, the location of the hotel is perfect to reach all the best sites and beaches.
Nice small hotel, beautiful beach cca 700m from the hotel. Family atmosphere, good traditional greek food just not big choice during dinner. Nice pool with the bar, very good restaurants and bars in the neighborhood.
Stuff are very kind, the food is fantastic and colorful. Rooms are clean, you have air-condition for free. Bus station is next to the hotel, and in the near you can find a very good beach with local greeks.
Very impressed ..It was a great hotel.Everything one needed.Great pool and grounds, restaurants and close to beach. Very clean and excellent staff. Mini market, pharmacy, bus stop, all outside this hotel.,
Booked a superior double room on a half board basis, the room was very basic we picked this type of room for the kitchenette facility but we had no kettle, no cups, no glasses, no plates or dishes, no cutlery no sauce pans. there was a bottle of wine and a bottle of water in the fridge, with a couple of paper beakers. The kitchenette comprised of a sink, a 2 ring electric hob but we could not turn this on, a fridge which was positioned under the hob the whole thing contained in a rickety wooden frame. We arrived late at night so the next morning I went reception to ask for a kettle and the other things we needed, the reception staff did give us a kettle and 2 cups. Breakfast in the hotel was very poor there was limited amounts of food put out at any one time, the kitchen staff had no idea what they was doing, they ran out of hot water in both machines where you can make tea or coffee, we had to wait whilst they went off to boil a kettle they then brought us a cup of boiling water each, many other people wanted hot water but did not ask they made do with juice. The following morning at breakfast there was no sliced bread to make toast we asked for this they had to go to the shop to buy some sliced bread when they came back they gave us 2 slices each and did not put any more out for other guests. The evening meal was not at the hotel this was at a taverna called Caldera we was told to just show our room key and we would get our meal there. One side of the taverna was nicely set out with table cloths and crockery and the other side was just tables, we was directed to the bit that was just tables, there was no choice of food we where served some some mushroom soup with bread, then the main was chicken drumsticks with some soggy potatoe wedges and a greasy sauce on the chicken, then came dessert a few pieces of melon, we where treated very differently to paying customers who of course sat at the nice tables, we had paid for half board this was not a free meal, I would not choose to eat that food and felt annoyed that we had paid for the privilege.....we did not go there for our 2nd night we went to a restaurant and brought our meal. There was a lack of sanitizer throughout the whole hotel, not even any hand soap in our bathroom. The reception staff where very friendly and helpful and the pool area was nice. There is building work going on nearby so to get to the beach you need to walk through the building site. There are lots of thing that need improvement at this hotel.…
We just returned from our one-week stay at the hotel Romanza Mare. What makes this hotel wonderful are the excellent hotel staff, who are not just always ready to help make your visit the most memorable experience they can, but who are also friendly, kind, hard working and professional in the work they do for their guests. We very much appreciated all they did to make us feel at home and welcome during our stay. We want to commend and thank Marina for all of her help and also chefs Dimitri and Nickos (who always pleased us with plenty of wonderful dishes of tasty food and desserts) as well as the wait staff, who were always friendly and attentive to our needs. Our room was cleaned daily and we thank the cleaning staff for their smiles and hard work. It was a very pleasant experience and we highly recommend it.…
All inclusive here is more like a full board, but the food was homemade and tasty. Drinks were served just till 21:00. There is very nice, funny and always smiling waitress Marina at the breakfast, lunch, dinner and in the snack bar. Beach was pebble and there was no option to rent a sunbed. The hotel pool was great. Room was neat and big enough.
We just came back from our holiday on Rhodes (Jun 2021) filled with beautiful memories and impressions and one of the top-rated impression is this hotel we stayed in. We really felt like most welcome guests and felt like home at the same time. Perfect location, friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, great atmosphere... Special thanks to Marina for her smile made our every meal even more tasty :)
We were in June for 10 days on holiday in Romantza Mare. Starting from a very nice reception to the whole stay. Everything is extremely clean, nicely maintained, with great facilities. The facilities themselves are surrounded by lots of greenery, great pools, rooms with terraces. The food was varied and delicious on the basis of the buffet, lunch and dinner were excellent. Since there was no TV no working in our apartment, the owner offered to replace it. Since we didn't want to, a new one was brought and left the next day. I would like to express my gratitude to the extremely kind to all employees: the owners of mr. Fanasis and Maria, chef and assistant to Mr. Fanasis and Mr. Nikos. And I especially want to thank the wonderful waitress Mrs Marina. Along with them, the maids and other employees were also great. You function flawlessly as a great team. The hotel deserves 4 stars by all criteria. A heartfelt recommendation.…
