It was a great pleasure to be there for the fifth time and really to relax the divine atmosphere of Elysium with their wonderful staff!!! The hotel is magnificent, service, view, sea, food... Go once and you will fall in love with this place!
Our family (2 adults and 2 older teenagers) had a very enjoyable week at the Elysium. The hotel is at the quiet end of Faliraki beach heading towards Rhodes town and you can catch a frequent bus (every 20 minutes when we there) into Rhodes town from just outside the hotel. We also hired a car for a few days from the car hire desk in the hotel for trips further afield (Lindos, Valley of Butterflies, Seven Springs). The food was fantastic with a varied and high quality evening meal buffet being served from the main restaurant (also two other a la carte restaurants). Staff were really friendly and approachable.
Very enjoyable stay, lovely staff, great food, but I would not rate it as Five Star. A few niggles: why put a nice coffee machine in the room with no coffee? £2 extra for a coffee pod, available from Room Service. Really? Also the pool is pretty cold for us Brits I think. Paid £20 to use the Spa pool and that wasn't a whole lot warmer. The beds! Comfortable but two singles that had an alarming habit of drifting apart during the night on the slippery floor. No mechanism for holding the bases together. The bathroom of our room had an internal window to the bedroom so no privacy, we thought, BUT there is a clever electrical gizmo that turns the see-through glass into opaque glass at the flick of a switch. Very clever, but no explanation for the uninitiated, just a random switch on the wall. This despite any number of fatuous 'green' messages about towel use etc. I don't know how elderly people would use the (non-thermostatic) shower, which is in a very high bath enclosure. Finally the main reception/bar area is a rather soulless and 'commercial' space in my view. But don't be put off - the sun, sea and relative quiet of this resort make it well worth a visit and as I say, the staff and the food were really good.…
The location and the food are what made this hotel amazing, never had an all inclusive buffet quite like it, every day was different but you could tell they would still try and use up any extra food they had from previous days by making new things with the left overs, I.e duck one day for main then little duck wraps the next as an appetiser. The pool was beautiful, with little bells so you need not leave you lounger if you didn’t want and the pebble beach opposite had just about every coloured stone imaginable which would shine through the azure waters whenever the sun came out (which was pretty much the whole time) highly recommend 👌
We were 12 family members, this is the second time we are staying at this hotel, We would like to thank you for the wonderful hospitality at the Ilysium Rhodes Hotel, we really enjoyed the attitude and service of the dedicated staff, the chef, the dining room manager Manolis,as well as Marinela from thedining room staff, the reception manager Rodoula, thanks to whom we received an enjoyable and perfect vacation. Excellent hotel and staff, highly recommended! See you next year!
Great location directly on the beach. Lots of free sun beds and parasols on the beach as well as around the pool. Well kept grounds and surrounding area. The room is comfortable with a really comfy bed. Bath robes and slippers even wine and water in the fridge! Room cleaned daily . Super sea views from the balcony. (3rd floor Helios block.) The noise from the evening entertainment at the adjoining hotel could be intrusive but with the patio door closed this was largely eliminated. Food in the Emerald restaurant was excellent with a huge choice every day. There may be a wait for a table at busy times though. Breakfast was equally good with massive choices. Pool was huge and never busy.

They have a beach buggy for wheelchair users like me, and Elton and Penny helped me and my assistant to get me into and out of the sea/pool. We already enjoyed this unique service 4 years ago, so we came back here. Reception organized a special transfer for us in a bus with ramp resp. lift. And all the other services were excellent as well.
Another superb 2 week vacation, having previously stayed here in 2015 and 2019. We were so pleased to find the continuing and consistent high standards of service we have experienced in the past, as well as the kindness shown to us by all the staff. Just to mention a few: Emma who was extremely helpful with our room reservation, Manolis in the restaurant and George ever present around the hotel, Evgenios/Katrina/ Torolli in the main restaurant and the ‘ Captain’ in the Almyra beach bar. In addition the reception desk arranged for our room to be serviced early on the day of Queen Elizabeth ‘s funeral so we were able to watch undisturbed. This 5 star hotel is everything you would expect and is in a superb location with easy access to Rhodes old town etc by local bus or the boat ferry from the beach. There are a high number of guests who are serial long-term returners which speaks for itsself. Everyone associated with the hotel should rightly feel proud of what they achieve to ensure their guests have a fabulous time.…
It was our first visit to the Elysium and also Rhodes itself. We chose this hotel as it seemed to be in a quiet area with access (bus) into Rhodes Town. It certainly was quiet being at the end of the beach area and apart from other hotels in the vicinity and the odd supermarket, there was little else, which suited us. A visit to Rhodes Town which we did a couple of times is a must (busy buses!), along with Kalithea Springs (walkable) and a couple of the beaches you pass enroute there are well worth a look. Our room (in the Helios block) was really nicely positioned overlooking the pool and pool bar area as well as the huge beach. It was very comfortable and kept clean every day by the friendly cleaners. We also appreciated having a cold fridge for water etc and the lovely chocolates left every evening by the bedside! We loved the beach as it was so spacious and plenty of room between sunbeds. There was never an issue of finding a bed as luckily not too many had been 'reserved' (we noticed the pool area was worse for that). The beach is a mixture of sand and stones, but luckily we took sea shoes to walk over the larger stones to get into the water. We didn't really use the pool apart from a couple of dips as the beach was so pleasant and sea so refreshing. The food was top notch (we only used the Emerald buffet and only tried Fresh restaurant the day we left for lunch). Food was all good and lots of choice for both breakfast and dinner (the menu choices we enjoyed too). The staff are very hardworking in the Emerald restaurant and are kept busy at all times. A special mention goes to Marilena who was very friendly to us. She comes across as very hardworking, along with her helper (we didn't get his name). Also, the young lad who works the orange machine at breakfast. All the staff in general seem cheerful and friendly. The evening entertainment was very good at the outside bar - some great musicians there. As another reviewer stated, the Crystal Bar is somewhat quiet, even though they have a pianist there most evenings. The drinks were very expensive though. Overall, we had a great time and maybe at some point would return.…
