Beautiful room, so comfortable and luxurious. Great platter for dinner served in our room and great breakfast. Wish we had stayed more than one night. Probably the best B&B we stayed in during our trip to NZ. Local shops good for art ie glass and ceramics. Probs not on the usual tourist trail but def worth a visit.

The four partners of our law firm booked out Takatu for one night for their annual retreat. I have had feedback from each of them separately how fantastic it was - one of them told me it was one of the best places he's ever stayed at, and he has travelled quite a lot! He said he would go back... More

We had a very pleasant stay here. The room is spacious and comfortable to spend time in. We loved coming back from a days sightseeing and relaxing on the balcony with a glass of the Takatu Rose while watching the sunset. There is a lovely selection of fresh and local food for breakfast and we had the dinner platter one... More

My wife and I had one night at Takatu whilst travelling to the north of the the North Island. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast is the only dining option which was prepared fresh for us. The home made muffins were to die for. Perfect for what we wanted but probably not for an extended stay

We only spent a single night at the Takatu Vineyard and Lodge but wished we'd planned at least a two night stay. Large spacious suite with an upscale spa-like bathroom, complete with huge soaker tub with a vineyard view were a relaxing treat after a long drive. Host even made us dinner reservations in Matakana and arranged a taxi for... More

We had a lovely night at Takatu lodge for a family members birthday. The service was great, the rooms spotless and all the little extra details were spot on. Joanne made us feel welcome and put on a delicious breakfast after our night out the night before. The views were gorgeous over the winery and out to sea. A great... More

Our third visit. We hadn't realised that the ownership had changed hands, so it was a surprise to meet Joanne - a happy surprise, she is welcoming and warm. The standards have been maintained, with some new furnishings and fittings in the rooms. The real pleasure lies in the scenic location, total peace of the surroundings, pleasing aspect from the...
