My wife and I visited on Saturday 14th February (after a phone booking) to be treated to excellent food - the lobster and crab bisque was exquisite. My wife, a vegetarian, had no trouble picking out what she wanted from the menu and a board inside the pub tells you most of the ingredients for the menu are derived locally...

We haven't stayed in the rooms but have visited this pub a number of times for food and drinks. Every time we have visited we have left feeling full and satisfied. The portions are traditional 'Yorkshire' portions - sizeable! The food is fresh and mixes creative twists with your normal home comfort foods. The beer is always well kept and...

Have just had a perfect Sunday lunch here, sirloin of beef, mutton, chicken and gammon were all delicious, plenty of steamed and roasted veg, gravy and Yorkshire pud. Puddings were also very good, and the staff were great. Good home cooked food with a good price to, definitely will revisit, need to book to avoid disappointment

Stayed here in June. Evening meal was out of this world, the fish platter as a starter is excellent for sharing, make sure you are hungry though for the main course. All meat and veg is grown or reared locally and has a wonderful flavour. Took a cheese board into the bar to savour all night, the cheese board also...

Stayed here a few times now due to good food, friendly staff and very doggy friendly. This time stayed in a small double room with jacuzzi bath, all nicely decorated. Fruit and chocolates also left which was a nice touch. Only criticism was not enough hot water to use jacuzzi so tried to use shower but only a trickle of...

We have just spent a memorable New Year at the Board Inn in Lealholm. What a lovely pub in an unspoilt moors village. Karen and Alistair, the owners are both qualified chefs and take delight in serving up the most amazing food. One New Year's Eve they do a very special gala dinner which consists of eight courses straight out...

We stayed here for one night early in November. It is absolutely great. We were given one of the adjoining cottages which exceeded expectations with a sitting area and kitchenette, a double bedroom and shower room. All spotlessly clean and tidy. Alistair, the owner, asked if we had any special dietary requirements on arrival. We are both vegetarians and when...

We stayed here after a long day's walk on the North Yorkshire Inn Way. It was a huge relief to arrive and the welcome was marvellous. I had a small double which was fine for one but would have been a bit of a squash for two. It was nice to have a jacuzzi bath to relax in. Dinner was...
