Picked at random for a impulsive few days away. This is a typically an old fashioned community inn. The owners were delightful and couldn't do enough to make you welcome. All the locals were friendly and chatty. The food was first class with plenty of choice, the bar had good choice of camra ales and ciders and the accommodation was... More

Stopped for two nights in this lovely place. The accommodation is away from the pub so you are not bothered by any noise. There was a small kitchenette so you could prepare your own meals if you wished however the pub food is great. Karen looked after us both tremendously well and nothing was too much for her. Our dog... More

Sandwiches for 11 people. All were lovely, we even had bowls of roast potatoes in place of chips. Very nice. Great beers and very friendly service. The village of Lealholm is a beautiful place to spend a few hours and lunch in the board inn completes the visit.

From the welcome when we arrived to leaving we were made to feel at home.Karen and her staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent. Our room was spotless and we'll stocked. You couldn't ask for more. Definitely recommend to anyone... More

We were tootling around the North Yorkshire Moors on this beautiful sunny summer’s day looking for somewhere to have a leisurely lunch and came across the Board Inn in the tiny picturesque village of Lealholm. On stepping inside we received a very warm welcome and I ordered a shandy and a half pint of draught Guinness for my wife. There... More

Booked one night at The Board Inn for our anniversary as we'd heard good things about the food. It exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Location is beautiful, so peaceful sitting outside overlooking the river. Hospitality lovely, from being greeted with a smile, to checking if we had any special dietary requirements, to the bar and dinner service. The room... More

This is a lovely place to visit as a stop off when travelling around the area. We stopped off for a quick bite and a shandy whilst visiting the area. We sat outside by the river just watching the world go by with our drink and snack. Ale and food really good and both went down very well. Beautiful views... More
