Visited La Fosse twice before. Fantastic place to come for a night away with amazing food. My wife has a very special diet due to a medical condition and the chef, Mark, creates a special menu. Highly Recommended.

This is a lovely stay in the middle of a dorset village. Cranborne has a couple of pubs, shop, church and a manor house. Ideal for the Dorset coast towns or the New Forest. The room overlooked the pub and though a bit noisy, after 10pm it was very quiet. The bed is so comfortable and we had a couple of great nights... More

I recently booked the Bbq Hut for a party of 10 of us. Booking was easy & after chat with Emmanuele on the phone she then sent all the information we needed and menu by email so was easy to forward onto the rest of the party to decide on their food choices form two separately priced menus. We actually... More

Stayed at the B&B for 2 nights. Room was small but adequate and the breakfast was excellent. The weather was poor so we were unable to use the outside space. Our choice for this trip was based on the evening meal that was very good indeed. Beware of the Sawday website. I was expecting to pay £27.50 for a 3... More

Tucked away in this wee village La Fosse is right in the middle of it and the Hartstones have been there for nigh on 10 years. We thought the menu was excellent and we really enjoyed the food on both evenings we stayed. The quality of the foodstuff that Mark sources is all too apparent and the taste and presentation... Unfortunately after arriving at La Fosse we decided to leave. After being shown to our room and seeing the bed spread with pulls in it, the filthy valance, stained curtains and torn carpet we politely asked if there was a different room available but unfortunately there was not. I had booked the weekend stay for my husbands birthday and had... More

We - my wife and I - were not actually staying here, only having dinner. The menu was a celebration of Irish cuisine. As we were there in mid March, I'm a little vague about specifics, but can remember that some dishes were all right and others were less successful. After entering the restaurant for a pre-prandial drink, we sat... More

Stayed here for one night over the May bank holiday having cycled from Hindon and was greeted by a wonderful place to rest some very weary bones! Beautiful room that felt like home, but a luxurious home with great bath and shower products. Truly felt pampered. Breakfast was outstanding as were the hosts. The only shame is that we missed... Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting family and friends. Could not believe how quiet it was, but maybe that's because we're used to the hustle and bustle of London! Our room was very clean and cosy, and loved the luxury of having fresh milk for our tea & coffee - much nicer than the UHT milk that you usually... More

We had a stylish bedroom with super king bed and every comfort. Cowshed smellies. Fresh milk with your tea. Bed comfortable and windows sound proofed. Dinner was excellent - top quality ingredients, imaginatively and expertly cooked. Mark and assistant couldn't have done more to make you feel welcome. We thought it excellent value. Village is gorgeous and don't miss the... More
