We were camping at the small field behind the pub and booked dinner for Friday night. The food was stunning and very good value for money. The atmosphere in the restaurant was chilled and welcoming and the service excellent The campsite facilities were good and kept clean although there are shared and there are only 2 loos and 3 showers... Set in a beautiful village just outside Montacute, this pub is a truly dog friendly place to stay where your best friend can access all areas with no problems. A dog welcome pack is even produced on arrival; blankets, a dog bed and bowls set on a feeding mat are provided with all sorts of other things available from dog... More

We had a two night stay to meet up with family who were camping in the tent field of the Masons Arms. We had booked bed and breakfast for two nights. I really cannot fault a single thing with our stay. Other double bedded room was very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and had a duvet and top cover. Two... More

Our family stopped off here at this delightful Inn on our way to Cornwall. With our party were 2 dogs which were very well catered for - dog beds and bowls in the room and an exercise field for stretching their legs! Lovely rooms with all one needs for a stay, the restaurant food was excellent - our compliments to... More

We stayed at the campsite that it attached to the pub. We ate at the pub, the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It is a good menu to cater for all. They have good selection of locally brewed beers plus it has its own micro brewery. Dogs are also made welcome and if your lucky... More

Getting married in a location far from where you actually live requires serious wedding administration! Visits to and from the venue are frequent so a good, local, friendly place to stay is a must! Cue The Mason’s Arms… Absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, the best one night stay we have had in a very long time. You could... More

A very good visit staying in the attached campsite encompassing great food and a good range of proper ales (and other drinks obviously!) made all the more welcome by the friendly staff. The camping facilities are good but the shower/toilet block is "mixed" which was a surprise but as a small site I can understand why.

Booked for a birthday lunch and it didnt disappoint. Service from the bar manager and staff was superb, friendly and chatty but not obtrusive. Food was great and they even managed to put a candle on my dessert! We will be back.

Stayed for a couple of nights as a surprise birthday treat from my husband. Good straightforward pub food, lovely breakfast especially the croissants. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the pub garden a delight. The pub is quietly situated and you feel right out in the countryside whilst being only a short distance from Yeovil. We visited Montacute House... More
