This is the best B&B we have stayed in so far. Lovely place to stay and all ground level so no lugging heavy cases up flights of stairs. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and the Chef is a great asset. Made to feel really welcome by every one including the Locals from... More

Arrived early so sat and had a drink in the very nice beer garden. After getting to our table we waiting quite some time to be served, waitress was fairly miserable and lacked basic knowledge of the menu ( didn't know soup of the day etc). Asked if two dishes could come with the very nice looking triple cooked chips... More

Wonderful two nights stay here. We parked the motor home in the camping area behind the pub. Showers & toilets spotless. Pub food was excellent, beer excellent, service excellent. We will definitely, return possibly staying in the shepherds hut it looked perfect.

Found The Masons on Laterooms and I must say this place turned out to be just lovely all around! Our party consisted of my wife and myself and my sister-in-law and her husband so we had two rooms a double and a twin (Rooms 1 & 2). The rooms were very well appointed and equiped and lovely and clean too.... More

A real jewel in the crown for the village. Beautiful area and a gorgeous facility. Rooms and cottage(we stayed in both) were fantastic. Quality furniture and fittings. The bar food was better than a celebrity chefs that has a resteraunt not too far away. Top quality staff service who were genuinely friendly with all clientele. Top marks and we'll done.

Stayed for one night, spacious and clean room, well appointed, complimentary cookies, beer and water. This is a characterful, well -kept Inn, we particularly appreciated the blooming flowers in the garden area. Good evening meal and breakfast.

We stopped off here on our way to Cornwall and we are glad we did. We had the dog so it nice to hear the pub was dog friendly. We were glad to stop here for a break and the service was excellent. The lunch menu is basic but for me this was ideal. (I don't like having to choose... More

We've been visiting the Masons Arms for several years now having previously lived in Dorchester and more recently using the excellent camping facilities owned by the pub. It is usually the case that standards slip once the first flush of enthusiasm abates, but this place bucks the trend. As you walk through the beautifully tended Cottage garden, vegetable patch and... I am originally from Yeovil & as we like to go down to visit my family frequently we enjoy to stay over with our dog. After trying several places we always return to the Masons Arms as it is the perfect place to stay & so dog friendly. The owners wife does dog training so they have an enclosed 'paddock'... More

Went with a friend who wanted to say thanks, as I had helped her move. We had venison, it was very tough and tasted funny. We complained, but were offered nothing. Hence we will not go again, even though it was local. It was a Sunday and they were busy, but courtesy goes a long way! She was so embarrassed... More

Many Thanks for your comment however we haven't had venison on the menu since the hunting season 2 years ago. Not entirely sure you are thinking of the right establishment as we pride ourselves on our customer service. We hope to see you sometime. More
