When you get to site you are given a really warm welcome from a guy speaking excellent English. You choose your spot We had lovely spot near showers with shade and although backing onto motorway surprisingly quiet I must say our first impression were not great it looks like a old soviet army camp or prison my husband thought. But the facial were clean and you needed a key to access them. I did not use the shower as was advised water not hot and only very flimsy curtain with no private changing facilities The site is in the edge of lake and it was lovely to walk around and have a drink Everyone seemed very friendly From the site it is a two minute walk to the tram stop and this takes you into centre of city Bratislava seemed so very friendly Food and drink was nice and not too expensive I am sure when more people start coming the site will be able to invest more money into facilities Dnt be put off though It’s cheap clean and convenient …
Unfortunately this campsite needs a bit of TLC. Not very well managed for camping pitches so it's a free for all, tricky for the bigger motorhomes to try and find spaces when busy. I prebooked but not sure there is such a thing as we just had to find a space like everyone else! Showers are not good, curtains across with gaps either side! Water tends to get colder as the day goes on even though showers are closed between 11 and 5! One shower just trickled out of the tap. Lots of little bars along the beach for a nice drink. We were not really sure where the campsite ended as beach seemed to be open for all the public so always quite busy. Nice warm lad to swim in. Easy to get the tram into Bratislava and lovely city worth exploring.
This site is a little rough round the edges but as it’s very close to the centre of Bratislava it’s ideally located. It’s on the side of a lake that has waterskiing and other water sports. There are also beach bar type things round the lake. You can take a tram from outside the site right into the center of Bratislava. Rough and ready but great to be based in the city.
October visit, few days before season closure. Toilet facilities very basic. Shower, water was warm enough. No where apart from a hook at side of cubicle to leave clothes. Needed a key (deposit required) Toilet paper was not in each cubicle, had to take from roll at side of wash basin. No separate cubicles for wash basins. Pitches a bit boggy, due to wet weather. Free wifi, but only close to reception. Tickets available for tram into city at the station, over the footbridge, turn left down the slope, then cross tram lines. Staff were helpful in giving us details of how to get into the city & provided maps for city. Thank you.
We have been there with our caravan. This is an old but very big camping near a lake. There is some noise from the road, and from the numerous young people coming here for vacation or weekend. There is no other camping near Bratislava. The good things are that toilets are relatively clean, there is a lot of place to have your caravan and public transport is very near. We recommend this camping if you like to be near Bratislava. We could return in the future.
