The accommodations was very pleasant, clean and sufficiently roomy. The evening meal was fairly standard to be honest but breakfast was good and served by the chef/owner who was friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again.

Only had an evening meal in the al a carte restaurant..very hot until we asked for the Windows to be opened, dirty wine glasses, food ok but certainly not outstanding..no drinks menu offered so I guess it's really pub grub...

We stayed in the family room, which was like a little apartment away from the main building . It's a very pretty inn from the outside . The flower baskets looks amazing outside . In the evenings there are fairy lights which light up the outside areas in a subtle way . I noticed a lot of the dog owners... More

My wife and I had lunch here a couple of days ago. The set lunch - 3 course with a good choice - for £16.90 was excellent value. There were odd £1 supplements for certain choices. The food was extremely tasty and showed a sure professional lunch. The Sunday lunch type roast beef dinner would have gladdened the heart of... More

Let's start with the good points. The food in the evening was excellent as was the service, the choice was very good and was very good value. Food was served quickly and was delicious. The breakfast was the same, a good choice, good service and good quality. The staff were efficient and polite and friendly. After these good points what... More

Went here for lunch today with my mother who's 97 and my daughter who was on her lunch hour. Greeted by a nice but stressed young man who took our order for drinks 2 jacket potatoes and a bagette at 1.10 . At 1.40 enquired where our lunch was to be told there was a rush on for sandwiches and... More

Initially booked for one night as part of motorcycling trip but were so impressed that we stayed for two, which we were able to do due to a cancellation. Twin room was large and comfortable and the pub and food in particular, excellent. Good choice of beer and the menu was great with lots of choice. Breakfast and evening meals... More

The condition of the car park, the poor state of the thatch and the external view alone is certainly a detraction........but we went for a Sunday lunch in the restaurant and were very pleasantly surprised - its been nicely modernised and furnished......and the food, and service, was very good. They deserve support and lets hope that this will eventually allow... More
