Detailed Reviews
Booked and stayed for a week as myself and my boyfriend were skiing at the nearby Jasna resort.
Pros: Super comfy beds, amazing shower, great to have a little fridge in a double room to store snacks and beer.
Cons: Super thin walls, could hear neighbors conversations. Daily between 6pm-10pm we could hear what sounded like kids running back and forth constantly in the hall ways which was annoying. Supposed to have room cleaning every 3 days but we didn't have any cleaning whilst there and our bins were overflowing. DO NOT use the onsite ski hire - these guys are awful and left me stranded without ski's.
Restaurant: Breakfast was adequate and served it's purpose daily. Only ate in here once for dinner, as myself and my boyfriend are veggie, there wasn't many options available but even good to sit and have a beer after a days skiing.
Overall - great price, comfy beds, close to ski resort, helpful staff! What more could you ask for.

Our experience in Riverside was so great that I felt I must leave a review. The apartments are comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The location is great for day trips, where you can enjoy the amazing nature around. The restaurant is lovely, and the discount given for guests made it very worthy. Lastly, I must mention the amazing BBQ spot on the river.

+1
After exhausting day climbing to ice cave this was a good treat. We were a few so we tried many dishes. The pizza 4 cheese is absolute must, halluski the traddional fish is also nice. The fried cheese was good also. The Camembert was average and there was a chicken dish with potato pancake that was cooked nicely.
Avoid the fish was very bad

In summary:
Cold, unhappy staff.
Badly finished building.
Paper thin walls with NO insulation.
Bad location, walking anywhere is on a busy road.
Poisonous food in the worst restaurant atmosphere.
This place has been the worst choice of all the places we have ever stayed in and we travel regularly all across Europe. The welcome was cold and unprofessional. We felt awkward even when asking for an extra pillow, which we had to request 3 times. Cleaning also hasn't been done in those 5 days we were there. When we needed basic toiletries we had to go downstairs and ask at the reception as they don't provide them, they also don't empty the bin unless you tell them. When we entered our room for the first time we got hit by a very strong smell of some nasty cleaning chemicals they used in the bathroom to cover up the mould in the shower. The walls are extremely thin and you could hear everything from the room next door. Local police had to be called there previously a few times for noisy guests. The room where we stayed was too hot. We had the heating off and window open in the middle of January. Food was very disappointing too. We only had one evening meal here as we were put off by the whole atmosphere and service we received. There is continental and cooked breakfast to choose from but all the fresh salami and cheese were dry and not looking fresh at all. So we tried the cooked sausages with some eggs and regretted that for the rest of the day. It made us so ill that we didn't dare to eat there for the rest of our stay. The owners of this badly run place were nowhere to be seen the whole week and we couldn't share our impression of our stay with the "lovely" receptionist either because she was ignoring us as we were leaving even though she was only a few metres away talking to another member of staff.

Good little hotel. Staff were nice. Rooms were clean and furnishing/space/quality was sufficient for a ski holiday. Rates are very decent for an independent property, this is a good hotel as long as you don't have 5-star expectations.Stayed in 2-bedroom apartment with family and all was good. Restaurant was great, very good value for a ski resort and they served great breakfast and dinner. This hotel is better value than the more expensive hotels in the area. The only slight downside is location, it is not ski-in ski-out. However if you are ok with taking the bus, or willing to get up early enough to grab a parking spot near the ski lifts, you will be fine and will get better value than at say the Grand Hotel. We also stayed at the Chalets Jasna de Luxe, which is very nice- more luxurious, but not as good value. Chalets perhaps good if you are going as a group of friends or several families. The other positive about Riverside Hotel is the Propaganda Ski School which operates from this property- they are the only British-accredited ski school in Jasna, with international instructors. I can highly recommend them both to adults and children. Great instructors, committed to what they do. Overall a fantastic experience and far better value for money than anywhere in Western Europe.

We have been in Riverside for 6 nights in August 2016 - a family of 2 adults plus 3 kids.
The apartments are exactly as seen in their website. We have booked the deluxe apartment (2-bedroom apartment with a balcony) and were very very satisfied.
Rooms are clean and modern. The beds are so comfort, the bathroom is large enough, and it was great to have a small kitchen on top of the nice breakfast we had, so we could have bought food for the evenings that we didn't eat outside (there is a refrigerator, micro, dishes and so on)
The parking is free, and the Tatras surrounding is absolutely beautiful. So nice to go up at morning and hear the Demänovka river from the balcony !
Another important point is that the location is Excellent...some attractions are just near by (like Chopok mountain, Demanova Freedom Cave, Tarzánia rope park , FUN PARK Žiarce, Vrbické pleso) others are about an hour or a 1.5 hour drive.
Bear in mind that the family rooms are at the 3rd floor while there is no elevator (we managed).
In summary, we had a wonderful time, and we highly recommend Riverside !

We have spent another extended weekend in Demanovska and we have choose this one of apartments since we travel with kids. Apartment was very nice and clean (it is brand new reconstruction), with quipped kitchen and location was perfect - very close to the "busy" Demanovska dolina on one side, and to the woods of low tatras on the other side. Next to the hotel is very good restaurant as well as playground for kids ...
I have especially liked the river close to the hotel, one of the wild streams in the mountains :) Literally few meters from the hotel is entrance into the Ice Cave what I would recommend to visit. I'm looking forward to come back in the winter - but for whole week at least.

We stayed for two nights and the first evening we arrived late. The receptionist was very kind to phone us and ask what we wanted packed for dinner, which was delicious even re-heated.
Clean cozy rooms, with comfortable beds and very welcoming staff both in reception and restaurant. The meals were very tasty with good choice for both regular and vegetarians. Good small saunas, wonderful after rainy tour day in the mountains.
Definitely will look forward to staying in the future.
