This was my second visit after a long interval. The lodge and rooms are as beautiful as ever. The public spaces are comfortable and inviting. There is a well stocked honesty bar. The property is not hosted which is not a problem. You go to the main area of Tarraleah - which is not more than a dot-on-the-map to check...

We stayed at the Lodge for one night for our wedding anniversary and it is a very special place. The room was luxurious with the best guest compendium that we have read! The view from the Hot Tub was amazing. We enjoyed dinner at the Highlander Arms - the chef created delcious and healthy vegan meals for us. Breakfast was...

Tarraleah is like the lost village in the Scottish musical Brigadoon -- enter it and you seem to fall off the face of the world in the most pleasant sense. It wasn't always so. The first time I fell off the earth and landed in Tarraleah was in 1981 when my bride and I broke down on our honeymoon and...

The Lodge at Tarraleah has been beautifully decorated in a style befitting it's place in Tasmania, both physically and historically. We stayed in the Augusta Room and it had everything you could want. The furniture is seriously 'bespoke'. Heated bathroom floor as it is almost always cool to cold there, the Staff were absolutely excellent. Special Mention to Kirstie Ferguson...

My partner and I came to Tarraleah Lodge for the weekend and it was fantastic! The room was beautifully appointed and the bathroom was clean, modern and huge! The free use of the cliff-top hot-tub was wonderful and relaxing and because we were able to book a time, we had the place to ourselves! The free breakfast was also great!...

And this year it was "Murder at the Deadwood Saloon" and what a fantastic night. The whole group were able to come out in character, relax, unwind and overall have a great time! The host for the...

We had a weekend package at tarraleah lodge, including breakfast each morning and a 3 course meal with wine. The lodge is beautifully furnished in 50s Art Deco, and the suite was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. It was so quiet at night, and the bed was lovely, making for a great nights sleep! The lounge is cosy,...

As Tasmanian business owners, my wife and I like to escape once in a while, to get away for a weekend of leisure. This used to entail a trip to the airport and a lengthy flight interstate. However, this changed when we discovered somewhere much closer to home - the Tarraleah Lodge and Highlander Arms. The Lodge is very private...

We bought a package for a one night stay at the lodge, it included beautiful 5 star accommodation, a fabulous 2 course dinner with a bottle of wine and a beautiful breakfast including barista made coffees, all of this for $360 for myself and my husband, great value in my opinion for a complete 5 star plus experience. The drive...
