We stayed in one of the cottages out the back with a private bathroom and kitchen. The room was well appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful location with their own spacious gardens, in close proximity to many places to explore, we could happily have stayed longer. The internet access is limited.

We got to The Innlet after quite a few days on the road, it is a perfect place for a rest day! We planned a long day hike but ended up taking the bush walk on the property and after that we enjoyed the comfortable lounge with the fire going. The hosts Angela, Katie and Jonathan were very welcoming and always making sure we were comfortable, starting the fire and fresh fruit on the table. We stayed in a double room in the house and bed was very comfortable, bathroom facilities were good and also the option to use compost toilets outside. Great large equipped kitchen. Golden Bay is a great place to explore and only a short drive to Wharariki beach and lots of other walks.

We stayed at the Innlet for 6 nights during our January holidays as we wanted to explore the Golden Bay area and also the West Coast area. We booked online the Opua Cottage which is located outside the main house and could also sleep 3 of us (me, my wife and my daughter). The Opua Cottage has everything you need to cook (all clean and organized) and very comfortable beds (one double and one single), but, does not have toilets which you will need to use the main house ones. We were very welcoming by the owner when we arrived, he gave us very good local tips and took us through the hotel which was extremely clean and organized. Our cottage were very private at the back of the house with a good view to the garden and bush lands. It is small, but it was perfect for us as we were spending more time outside anyway. The main house has 1 toilet and 2 showers, they were always clean, i believe is serviced everyday, and the shower was very good. The big kitchen, inside the main house, have everything you need, we did not used it, but you are welcome to do it. At 300 meters walk, or you can use their bicycles (they have 4 bikes you can use) is the local beach, amazing piece of paradise and no one around. During the day they encourage you to use the environment friendly toilet outside, it was the first time my daughter used it, and she loved it. It was very clean with no smell and a felling that you were on a "normal" toilet". Few tips for you: To explore Golden Bay everyday, this place is a little far, around 25 minutes drive everyday at least. To explore Abel Tasman is even more far, around 35 minutes minimum. To explore the West Coach of Wharariki Beach (amazing place) and Puponga, is very close. The local beach is amazing and peaceful. They normally receive the West Coast weather, so, be aware that they could get strong winds and rain while other places could be dry. More tips, please ask.

There are plenty places to stay in Golden Bay, but the Innlet is one of the best. It is a small paradise in the middle of a bush, where you can just relax and find some peace. We stayed in the Garden Flat, a small apartment surrounded by rose bushes and other flowers. The apartment was cozy - a spacious bedroom, a bathroom and a small but lovely kitchen. Outside there are available some benches, picnic tables and hammocks. There is also a bush walk and a huge spider net over the creek. The host is an open friendly and easygoing person. We can for sure recommend the Innlet to everyone!
