My husband and I stayed at the port 9 apartments for 5 nights in September and we were not disappointed! We had a new comfort apartment with a pool and sea view on the top floor. Clean and comfy beds with a nice spacious balcony. The infinity pool was our favourite feature of the complex that also had a swim up bar. Emilija was working hard on that bar everyday and we found her to be really lovely and she spoke excellent English. We enjoyed talking to her! Breakfast was brilliant with a huge choice of options and the views are over the bay which is beautiful. It’s 30 minutes walk to the old town or just 50kn in a water taxi. We would definitely come back here and highly recommend to anyone else.
Great location and spacious but air con noisy and kitchen area very basic. Cold swimming pool (sea was warmer!). Nice to have cleaners every day & fresh towels. Ask for a room higher up. Next time would get ferry direct from Dubrovnik rather than 2 hour coach and short ferry.
They say it's a 4 star residence/hotel but it's worth 2 at best. 1st apartment we got, one bathroom was unusable (see photos), the door couldn't fully open because of the sink and only a tiny person could have entered and then closed back the door. There was a horrendous smell, which turned out to be coming from the air conditioning. They cleaned the filter which was filthy and that solved the problem. We asked for another apartment since we paid for 2 usable bathrooms, and only got one 2 days later. In the 2nd apartment, the air conditioning filter was also dirty, we got ants on the kitchen counter (see photos), and there was really bad sewage smell coming from the bathrooms. One time it was so bad it stank up the entire apartment. All apartments only have one air conditioning unit in the living room, so you must sleep with the doors open to hope the bedrooms get a bit cooler, or you just deal with the heat. There was virtually no cleaning during the week of our stay. The employees seem to try to accommodate the guests but the infrastructure is subpar. Taking the price into account, it's a rip off. For the same price you can get better conditions on Corsica.…
We had a family holiday here for 10 days. The apartment was clean and air conditioned as standard. A supermarket is within walking distance which is ideal for provisions. The apartment was self-catering, however the equipment to actually self-cater is very very limited. Not much cutlery or cooking equipment. The steps up to some of the apartments are narrow with a small drop to the one side. This may prove a little dangerous to young children. (and adults as I managed to fall on the steps, ouch) As self-catering was a little difficult this leads you to eat out often, beware however the restaurants on site are very expensive. Korcula old town is an easy walk away, approx. 20 / 30 minutes. A water taxi can take you there if you prefer. The old town is a superb location and we would walk there most days.…
Really enjoyed our stay at Port 9 apartments. We stayed in 504D which was an upper floor 2 bed apartment which was lovely as the balcony got lots of afternoon sun and we had a nice view of pomegranate and fig trees. I’m not sure all the apartments were as lucky. It was clean and modern and the beds were firm but comfortable. We loved the freshwater infinity pool and the beach, although definitely wear water shoes to protect feet from the stones and sea urchins! The cafe bar between the apartments and the beach was great for a delicious bubble waffle and Mario was always welcoming and friendly whenever we visited (or even walked by!). We only ate at the main restaurant on our first night and there was a good choice of buffet food. However there are so many other great places to eat nearby and in Korcula Town that you’ll be spoilt for choice. The apartment does have enough facilities to cook if you so wish, but we only ate breakfast there we had bought from the supermarket across the road. Korcula Town is a short scenic water taxi ride across the bay, and we made the journey most nights. I dived with Dupin Dive Centre which is on the resort and had a great experience with them. The kids enjoyed the aqua park next door, and my husband enjoyed the relaxing environment and the sunshine. All in all I would highly recommend Port 9 and would go back as Korcula is such a lovely island. …
Five of us all women friends arrived at port 9 apartments and were pleased with our apartments , very clean and a good cleaning service every day ,and a nice view over the salt swimming pools ,only one thing we missed was a toaster in the apartments, when i asked reception about it they said NO toaster, we looked around the site and found that the beach and pools were very close and there was a boat and bus service to take you to the old town , which was about £2 each way , but you can walk aswell if you wanted about 20 mins walk , There was a supermarket on site we found that some things were very expensive there baked beans about £2.00 a tin , but the cooked chicken was very nice , breakfast on site was buffet for £10 and evening meal buffet was £18 per person , half board would have worked out cheaper but we was,nt offered this off tui ,0ne week halfboard is enough for anyone there ,We did 2 weeks self catering by the 2nd week we was bored with the place and the expense, there was,nt much entertainment, and not much to do for a small price , The Drinks were expensive £5 small beer vodka and coke £7 also a very small coffee with more froth than coffee was about £3 and some of the local people were,nt very nice or helpful when you complained about it ,they are very grumpy people in the bank , The boat trip to dubrovnik was about £30 per person and about £26 for burger and chips in the restaurant for lunch , hope this helps !!!!! …
My partner and I stayed at the Port 9 Apartments in Korcula for 7 nights on a self catering basis and found them to be very comfortable and well furnished. We stayed in 507D which is 1 bedroom with twin beds. The apartment was clean and modern with an open plan living space with lounge which had a sofa and a small tv. The kitchen area was equipped with fridge, microwave, 4 ring hob and kettle. Having read previous reviews the one criticism seemed to be that there was no toaster in the room, however knowing that you work around it. The apartment also had very good WiFi which was useful for keeping up to date on our return travel arrangements. The bathroom had a very good shower with an abundance of hot water. All apartments feature either balcony on upper floor or terrace on ground level. The apartments are 2 minute walk from a very good supermarket Konzum (Aldi size) and provides a very good range of products from fresh fruit/veg to bakery and general household items. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return…
We stayed at one of these apartments at this resort & it had everything we needed. Luckily we had an upstairs apartment which was in a sunny position. I feel that if we had been allocated a downstairs one, the balcony may have been very shaded. The resort was clean & the staff were very friendly & helpful. Our only criticism was that there was very little evening entertainment at the resort.
Stayed here for 4 nights and would have liked longer. Port 9 pools, beach and facilities very good. 30 min walk to Korcula Old Town or use frequent water taxi. Apartment was lovely, clean and spacious. Nice sitting out area. We were looked after very well by Mariya and her team.
We arrived back from port 9 apartments on the 8th August after a one week stay. Our main regret is that we didn't stay for longer! We did have one big issue. In January, we asked the hotel to upgrade us to a 2 bedroom apartment, they confirmed this and the amount we would pay on arrival. We wanted the 2 bed room apartment because it was our honeymoon, explained to them at the time and we have three kids with us and wanted the extra space. We were told two days before arrival that due to unforeseen circumstances they would not be able to upgrade the room. This was on the morning of the wedding so I was quite upset with the timing. To compensate us the manager offered to upgrade us to half board for free, which was a nice gesture even though it wasn't a desired solution the offer was appreciated and accepted. When we arrived the staff on reception had no idea about the issue. I had to show them the email and they did not offer a verbal apology. They just said one bedroom is all we have. Either the person who checked me in misunderstood or was unable to cope well with check ins, it was a very bad welcome. I explained it was our honeymoon, we travelled for 12 hours and our daughter was sick with tonsillitis so we were not in the best of mood. Anyway, we had a good rest and we were able to put all this behind us. We loved the resort. The apartment is meters from the supermarket, pools, kids club, restaurant, water taxi and beach. The room was very comfortable and cleaned very well. We got speaking to the lady who manages the room cleaning. She is really friendly and helped me learn a few Croatian words (dobro jutro, dobar dan and dobra večer), hvala! She also gave us some champagne as a present for our honeymoon, which was really kind. The animation team are truly amazing, a big thank you to Gloria, Dennis and the other staff who worked in the kids club. They made sure the kids had the best time with them. They are really talented face painters! Our kids built up a great rapport with them and were really sad to say goodbye when we were leaving. The children really enjoyed aqua aerobics in the infinity pool straight after the morning kids club. We went to the cinema under the stars, which was brilliant. The hotel provided us with free popcorn. The food at the Matrikula was really nice. Breakfast, there was a lot of choice and something for all the family to enjoy. We prefer to eat out in the evening, hence why we went self catering, so we only visited once, but we enjoyed the food. The day before we departed, the transfer departing was at 4:45 for an 11:30 flight. I worked out we would get to the airport 3 and half to 4 hours early. Thankfully, I spoke to the reception and the rep about a private transfer who explained it was early and we could do this but it would only buy us one hour extra for about 1200 Kuna, £150 roughly. Anyway, a few hours later a note was posted in the room to say our transfer was moved to 5:45, which made a big difference as Dubrovnik airport was over capacity, with people sat mostly on the floors. We believe the experience with the upgrade was just bad luck and I am sure this won't affect other future guests but there should have been better communication with the reception staff on our arrival. Apart from this thank you for a lovely stay.…
