The hotel is magical. The staff is excellent. We had a great surprise in being upgraded to a corning room suite, which gave us such a panoramic view of the surrounding country side. The service for drinks and at the restaurent was outstanding. Very much appreciated the discussion with the chef after our first dinner.
We had a short but wonderful stay at this beautiful château. Stunning views, fantastic interiors and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had! Extra points for a very friendly lady that served us breakfast, didn’t catch her name but she had recently moved back to France from Britain. We also loved ”les petits macarons dans notre chambres” Highly recommended!
Nice setting but account was not okay, We discovered that they had added things and also calculated different prices that on menu. Confronted they reduced the bill. Because of Covid 19 they didn't want us to sign the delivery slips. So actually we didn't sign anything. After our remark they replied that they were not present on the occasion. When we asked to see the slips stapled on our invoice they didn't allow us to see them and reduced our invoice. still not accurate but very weirddddddd.
A completely luxurious experience in a dream like castle. Excellent service, efficient and friendly staff, amazing breakfast and restaurant and the most beautiful gardens and waiting rooms to enjoy. Absolutely recommended. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and had all sorts of presents and details. I still dream of walking through those gardens and looking at the castle. Unforgettable.
Excellent service and star rated restaurant. Large grounds. Spa facilities and pools. Real chateau where you are greeted with a drink and a biscuit. Character rooms and suites. Ample parking. The doorman parked the car. I recommend.
This beautiful hotel is delightful in every way. The physical nature, location, views, service and amenities make this stop one of our all time favorites. We don't typically do 5-star hotels but this occasion was a month long trip to Europe and some of our previous visits and the Chateau gave us a very reasonable price. Five days and we used the location as our base as we explored the region. The hotel lived up to its reputation and we will always cherish this visit. Words will not describe what must be experienced. Simply put, we loved it and highly recommend the Chateau de Mirambeau. Service seems to be their credo: :"Ask anything and you shall receive." What a life!
Visited for dinner with parents as a special treat - we have been lucky enough to visit each year for the last 15 years. Food was outstanding with excellent service to match. Exceptional tastes complemented with brilliant wine. All in all another excellent visit.
Great place , lovely service , wonderful setting . Lots to do and see around within 40 minutes driving distance .cognac: the chateau du Roy, the Mairie gardens and the church , a ferry ride to Medoc and a very impressive fortress dating to the Viking era at Lamarque , pilgrim roads and cities to st Jean de compostelle, sandy beaches and lots more
When you drive up to this chateau it looks like something out of a fairy tale. It's really beautiful inside too. You are met and greeted at the door by wonderful staff and shown to your room. It's set in beautiful grounds and is very dog friendly. The down sides were that the dinner menu is rather small with limited choices and the average continental breakfast is vastly overpriced at €25 per person. Within the cost of the hotel room the least they could do is include a few croissants and some cereal. Apart from that we had a wonderful few days here
Wow! What a beautiful chateau! Dripping in tasteful antiques and referencing the Italian Renaissance design, it is a pleasure to spend time here. The gardens host some beautiful trees and views. The staff, all bar one, were fabulous particularly the ladies at reception. Their thoughtful attention to detail is beyond what you find in other 5 star hotels. We stayed in room 5 in the castle. I found it exceptionally beautiful.
