Me and my boyfriend stopped here for 2 nights. Lovely building and beautiful inside. The hosts (Martin and Irvana) was very friendly and welcoming and very helpful with any questions we had. Cooked breakfast was great with a choice of cereals to begin with. We would definitely return.

Had one night at this lovely location. The breakfast was ok. Room was basic. Bathrooms had heated floors. It is a hike up to some of the rooms so make sure you pack light. It is about 10 min north of keswick. There is a nice path to the Dodd woods right next to it. The couple that run the... More

My husband and I and two dogs have just returned from a lovely stay at the Ravenstone. Everything about this hotel is excellent, rooms, location, food and the owners are a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Ravenstone Manor (25th and 26th of June 2016) and we have only praise to offer. The owners and staff were very welcoming, personable and exceptionally accommodating. The Manor is very dog friendly which put our minds at rest regarding our old boxer dog Jack. Our room was very spacious with a... More

After leaving an awful hotel in Scotland after one night (even though we had a 4 night planned stay) due to their unfriendly pet policy, we booked the Ravenstone and managed to get a room and book in hours later. A totally different experince! Martin made us (including our dog, Rupert) feel so very welcome. A beautiful hotel, a lovely... More

Spent two nights as a birthday gift with my family. We felt welcome and at home throughout our stay with the gracious owners and staff. We particularly enjoyed spending time relaxing in the beautiful lounge and also liked being able to go walking directly from the hotel - Skiddaw/Dodd and the lake. The hearty breakfast was much appreciated before a... More

Lovely place, full of character. We had room no. 5, which is big, and very pretty. Only down side of it is, there is no view from it. Our family members had room 10 or 12, which had amazing view but the room was small. Lovely Hosts. They didn't have much vegetarian in the dinner menu, but they specially made... More

Stayed for 2 nights for family wedding at the nearby extortionately priced Armathwaite Hall. We booked to bring our small dog with us and arrived to find a bed ready made up for him, plus bowl and biscuits. Sadly at the last minute we had decided not to bring him, but we were struck by how welcome the other guests'... More
