Attended a family wedding reception here.Stunning location.Drinks a bit on the steep side but that's expected.Staff very attentive but not overly so.Only down side was the weather.Take plenty of money for the drinks but don't let that put you off a visit to this beautiful place.

I have just visited today and had an amazing day. The spa day was fab, hot tub outside with lovely views, indoor pool and jacuzzi. Steam, sauna and aromatherapy room. I had the facial which was lovely and relaxing and then was taken to the hush room where there are relaxing beds that are so relaxing. We then went for... More

Myself and my fiance have just returned from a visit to our future wedding venue. We can now rest assured that we have picked the best possible place. Everything about Armathwaite Hall oozes quality. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff, out of this world views and an immaculately presented hotel. We had a deluxe lake... More

Stayed here for five nights for a short holiday and had a very pleasant suite over looking the lake, very comfortable with all the facilities we could require. Food fantastic and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Just sorry Cumbria is so far from where we live so unlikely to stay again!

The wife decided she wanted a massage, as she's 6 months pregnant and aches everywhere. I thought I'd have one to just because. From walking in to the spa reception your greeted by friendly staff, the atmosphere is calming and your made to feel very relaxed. My massage was neck and back and left me feeling like I was chilled... More

Had a great short break here. Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Great restaurant. Excellent service throughout the hotel. Didn't explore the gardens due to poor weather, but they looked great. Can't think of anything at all to criticise about our break.

Beautiful location. Very grand building full of character and old world charm. Enjoy a walk in the impressive grounds followed by a soak in the outdoor hot tub at the spa. Start the evening with a pre dinner drink by the log fire while you peruse the dinner menu. Once your table is ready enter the stately dining room. The... More
