Where do I begin .... this resort is nothing like a Hyatt .....their standards are so low I had expectations of the hotel being like the Bahamar or the Hyatt in Aruba or the grand Hyatt in Orlando ... I would never recommend staying here. The service is awful ... for breakfast buffet then choices were scrambled eggs potatoes bacon sausage and fruit ..: how is this a buffet selection? I ordered a grilled veggie wrap with feta and hummus by the pool ... what I received was a wrap with lettuce tomorrow and cucumber .... there is no creamer for coffee only almond milk or whole milk. Every other Hyatt has a gift shop and coffee shop The beach is not sand , but dirt and rocks The ocean is overgrown with seaweed There is no staff available anywhere Worst vacation ever !!

My trip was June 13-16. It was a lovely resort. Clearly it still is not running at full capacity due to Covid but I don’t mind. My only real complaint about this place is the food. Little to be desired…also I hate that Puerto Rico’s legal drinking age is 18. There were several “kids” who were clearly intoxicated and the bartenders keep poring shots! As long as they are getting tips who cares I guess. Also the market cafe doesn’t seem to know what regular coffee is. An Americano which is 2 shots of espresso with water added to it costs more than a latte which is 2 shots of espresso with steamed milk. The americano is the closest they have to a coffee apparently. The rooms were decent. No complaints there. They do charge you to self park if you rented a car, also charge a nightly incidental fee. The lobby bar took forever to get a drink from in the evening. Certainly they did not have enough staff to handle the amount of people there. Also if you want reservations at a restaurant at the hotel book early! Especially the steakhouse. The music they played was mostly awful. I really have no interest in Spanish or Puerto Rican music. I would enjoy more top hits from America as well as country, a nice mix. As most people coming aren’t locals your music should cater to what people are familiar with. I would definitely come here again.

I understand that many places are dealing with COVID staffing issues, but this hotel has problems that go beyond that. It was not as bad to me as some of the reviews from earlier this year suggested. The grounds seem well kept. The beach is not great - rough sand and rocks, but that is not the hotel’s fault. The food in not horrible. It is expensive, but no more so that other US resort pricing. Think Disney prices. But here are four examples of issues. One night our party of 8 ate at the Italian restaurant. The food was slow coming, but I expected that. But three of our party got their food, then nothing for five minutes, then two more got food, then five minutes, then two more got food, and the last order came another 5 minutes later. That is just poor kitchen management. Another day at the pool, ordered food which did not come for an hour. When we saw others who ordered later get their food, we asked and they seemed to have lost (or not gotten) our order (for the pool restaurant, you have to order though wait staff, not directly at the food window). When the pool is busy, lots of pool staff around. When not so busy, they seem to stick around the bar rather than circulating around the pool. Another day we ate at Pasion, a decent PR restaurant on site, and were stunned when they told us we needed cash or a credit card - no room charge, which seemed very odd since the restaurant is shown as a hotel restaurant on the website. And food selection is not great, particularly if you have kids. We have transportation, but the hotel is pretty far from other things and there are not a lot of good restaurants within an easy drive. And on another note, while we knew that room cleaning was every four days, we did not know that room cleaning when it came apparently did not include cleaning bathrooms. This hotel reminds me of some lesser brand hotel chains I have stayed at elsewhere in the Caribbean. It certainly is not operated to Hyatt standards.

We enjoyed every aspect of our vacation! I hope to return again one day! The rooms were nice, the pool was great, we enjoyed our breakfast and had a good experience with room service as well. All of the staff were very hospitable.

Beautiful area but need better accommodations. Beds are small, pillows awfully hard. Waters sports offerings are awesome. It is a beautiful hotel. Excellent customer service. Although due to COVID-19 housekeeping was not daily they always made sure we had what we needed it at all times. Prompt response. Food was too pricey for the offering.
