This is a lovely place to stay. The room was lovely, very comfy bed and nice furniture. Room had tea/coffee making facilities, small fridge and TV. The bathroom was just across the hallway, not shared. Very comfortable and excellent breakfast. Only a few minutes from Marlbourgh.

We were here for the Avebury experience (my third time) but I wish i'd spoken to the people at the Old Forge before i'd done all my planning as they were so knowledgeable! We were here for the Avebury Stones, West Kennet Walk, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, Overton Hill Barrows and the Sanctuary. All very walk able but...

We recently stayed at The Old Forge whilst visiting the local Heritage sites of Silbury Hill, Avebury, West Kennett & Pewsey nature reserve. This beautiful B&B was cosy, warm and perfectly situated for our visits only a few miles from each. The service was brilliant from start to finish, our hosts were welcoming and very knowledgable of the surrounding area,...

Have just returned from a night at the Old Forge which is a lovely B&B just outside Marlborough. Our room was warm and cosy with comfortable beds, a lovely ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities and fresh milk in the fridge. Our hosts were very welcoming and cooked up a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place and will be...

I stayed here before starting on my Ridgeway walk, after a day of exploring Avebury and the surrounding area. The hosts were very friendly, and my room was very comfortable. The bathroom was just a short walk down the hallway, which wasn't a problem at all. Breakfast was delicious, and the packed lunch was perfect for a long day on...

The Old Forge is a lovely bed and breakfast, about 2 miles from Silbury Hill and Avebury, and a short drive from Marlborough. The room was really nicely decorated, warm, with nice extra touches, like proper fresh milk in the fridge. Slept very well in a comfortable and large bed. Very friendly owners, and a superb cooked breakfast. Great value...

Breakfasts were fabulous too! We had a family room upstairs with a gorgeous view of the countryside. We had enter our room via the main door but rooms available...

The old forge is located on a quiet road in a rather idillic area and not far from Avebury. Some rooms have a separate bathroom on the landing which may not be to taste however I had an en suite and it was lovely. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. I would have preferred a...

We stayed here for one night on our way to Cornwall. The room was lovely but the only downside was that ours was one that had the bathroom on the landing. Breakfast the next morning was great. Good idea in pre-booking cooked items. It was a lovely place to stay and next time we will make sure we have an...

This was our third time staying at The Old Forge, on this occasion for our weeding anniversay and we simply loved it. It's like coming home for us as Laura and Leslie are such good hosts.
