From booking to check the staff were lovely. We arrived on the Saturday afternoon, checked in and shown to our room. Although on the small side, completely immaculate, comfortable and everything we needed for our stay. We ate a snack in the afternoon in the bar, the menu was varied and reasonably priced and served to us by a lovely... More

Stayed in the George for pride weekend for one evening. We struggled to find anywhere local to Brighton marina at short notice and with only a few weeks to go we managed to find this little gem. It was reasonable price and was a roof over our head for the evening staff seemed friendly enough and we didn't have any... More

We were greeted by mark the manager who was very friendly and helpful , he showed us to our room which had lots of character and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good especially the full English . If we were in this area again we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Needing a quiet break we booked for two nights into the George Inn. The booking process was easy with a phone call, nothing complicated. We found the Inn with ease and parked in the car park. The welcome was lovely, the delightful Hungarian lady was both charming and informative. We were shown our room and given the details of meal... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the rooms in this lovely old pub. They were not overly big, however all that was needed for a one night stay. A lot of character and a wonderful reception.

We have eaten at The George on numerous occasions and also had our Christmas lunch here with 11 of our family, We have never been disappointed. The food is first class as is the service. It is the sort of restaurant where friends we have introduced to the restaurant will travel miles to return. With its beamed ceilings and open... More

Five of us went for a meal here last night and were a little apprehensive to be honest; you hear such conflicting reports in a village this size. All I can is the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, the meal itself was top-rate and overall, the cost was inexpensive compared to the quality of food served; the... More

I booked this hotel for 1 night as it seemed to be a quaint venue. When we arrived the sole member of staff, despite seeing us, just carried on with what she was doing. When I wanted to ask a question I was overridden by someone known to the member of staff coming in and I was virtually ignored for... More
