My husband and I just returned from a cobalt Coast. We took a group of 20 down to enjoy the diving and the rum. We had the most amazing time. We were catered to left and right from the food to our dive gear. It was the most relaxed I have been in a long time. The rooms were cool and comfortable and I loved the bed so much I had to ask the brand. The diving was so lazy and chill and the wildlife was plentiful. From the smallest cleaner shrimp to the largest rays, we saw so much life on these reefs where we were able to do multiple hour long dives. The crew made sure conditions were optimal before mooring every time. They hauled our gear to the edge of the boat for us. We had only to haul ourselves out of the water. The food was so yummy and plentiful. As a pescatarian, I am always worried if I am going to get the protein needed to keep diving all week. I needn’t have worried at Cobalt, there were choices for every diet at every meal. They were able to set up several excursions for us boy as a group and as individuals as well. We visited Sting Ray Sand Bar and came nose to nose with big stingrays! Lastly, the crew had a last hurrah with us on our last night there. The drinks were in abundance and it was amazing to see that they get to have fun too whilst living in such paradise. We will be back!!!…
This is a great little dive resort. We were displaced from their sister resort due to an incoming storm and Cobalt Coast staff went above and beyond to make room for us. It is a well run little dive resort. Everyone especially Colin made us feel welcome and we enjoyed our short stay. While we didn’t dive, we could see they run a great dive operation with several dive sites nearby. The resort is located in a quiet part of Grand Cayman and there is good snorkel access from their dock. The food and drinks were fantastic. Would love to return!
This was our first trip back in 7 years. We have been attempting to get here again since 2020 (obvious reasons, it has been kicked down the road many times until this past week. We had not been while under the REEF Divers team / ownership before. They used their time over covid exceptionally well doing a lot of site renovations and changes making it even easier for divers that want to enjoy the island reefs. We were spoiled to say the least! Some of our fav staff members were thankfully still there; Colin / Lee!! The staff we did not know from the past made sure they knew us quickly. The chef and his team did a solid job keeping us divers feed well for the week. The room (Mermaid) is the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in and super comfy bed. The dive crew. This was the true spoil for us. We have never worked with a valet diving crew before. We still check our stuff as per usual. But all of the risk of getting hit with tanks walking to the stern or in and out of the water bangs/bruises gets taken away. The help with the gear and making sure we were solid kept safe and enjoyed everything. They guided us on their favourite sites and made sure they drew our attention to the little things we normally don't see/find. Basically, it was the best dive trip yet! The other part of this, you are on the same boat, same people, same crew all week. They tailored everything to what the likes were very quickly and ensured it was super. We are even looking at booking a trip next year with the family/dive club that we met because we meshed so well....as a whole boat! We had to pull out of the Thursday dives due to an emergency at home and my lack of sleep. My other half let the staff know. They were awesome. Everyone kept checking in with us to see how things were and just to make sure if we needed anything to help ease my worry. All thankfully ended up okay. But it was so nice to get to know such supportive people. Thank you for such a great trip!! For our first time in 7 years, it felt like we had been diving regularly. Wishing all of the resort staff Mick, Colin, Uly, Lee, Rowan, Carl, Lucy, Chris, and all of the other staff our best!…
I never stayed here but down the road, but walked it’s beaches, saw the best things ever ie seashell lined sidewalks, barracudas - big one anyhow and gorgeous water and sand. Just Do It.the Drambui and Rum weren’t like the Bahamas but the 45 degree heat solved that concern. Cold beer answered the call, son went on hotel kids camp fishing excursion and we went reef snorkeling and thank God we didn’t see any hammerheads but we did find pirate caves onshore to help us absorb the water adventures. uie
I had a great time at Colbalt Resort. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. The dive staff was great. They were very prompt and ready to go for all the dives. The resort was clean and the food was very good. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit.
What a great place. Smiling faces from the minute we left the shuttle from the airport, until we left a week later. It seemed like within an hour of our arrival, all of the staff knew our names and favorite drink. Rooms are being painted and renovated currently, bar area is nice, and the view from the dining area are first rate. Dive operation is amazing as all of the Reef Divers operations are. Lee and Lucy are dive masters extraordinaire, and were great not only in the wTer, but also on the boat. This site has an alternative pier on the Lee side of the point, so if it is windy on the north shore, you can still dive. No missed dive days here. Food was good, rooms clean and comfortable, great staff adm world class diving. Colin at the bar makes the afternoons and evening fly by with quick wit and a great smile. We will be back, soon and often.…
Cobalt Coast on Grand Cayman was beyond exceptional. The resort is very clean and very well maintained. Our dive guides Lee and Lucy were the absolute best. They blended right in with our group. We picked on each other and them the whole week and they got in on the wise cracks. Both Lee and Lucy are very knowledgeable about all of the dive sites we visited and always had an answerfor any question asked. They were definitely top notch. Until we meet again, stay salty my friends! 🐠🐡🦈🐚🦀🦐🐟🐢
We flew in from Tampa Florida on a non stop flight and the shuttle was waiting for us to take us to the resort. Our flight was late but they held dinner for us and we were able to eat as soon as we got there. We were greeted by Helen and she made us feel very welcome and showed us our rooms. There were 4 of us, 2 had their room on the second level and ours was on the first. There are no elevators but they do help you with your luggage. We stayed in unit 5 which had a patio with table and chairs, very homey. The husbands dove and have done the valet diving before and love it! It was a little windy however they took the boats to the other side of the island so they did not miss any dives. 17 dives in 6 days. They saw a lot and raved about the dive staff. The resort is on the beach however it is very rocky and not accessible to the water. But the pool was very refreshing and they also have a hot tub. This is a small resort and everything is very convenient. Not a lot of walking to anything. If you do want to catch a bus to tour the island they say it is about a 10 minute walk. In my opinion this resort is designed for divers and people that just want to relax. If you are the type that like action and night life there is nothing in the immediate area. The wifi was a little slow but we found when we were on wifi and airplane mode we were able to text free of charge. Just make sure your data is off. No calling just texts. We hope to return some day. The other couple we were with had won this trip from a previous trip from Scubaboard. I am so glad they did as we had a wonderful time.…
This years shop dive trip, we wanted to try something different. So we chose Cobalt Coast in Grand Cayman. The trip could not have been better. From the staff on land, to the dive staff that truly provided "valet" diving, the service was impeccable. I wish there was a word created that could truly describe the first class experience we received from the moment we got off the plane till be got on our plane to leave. Food was top notch with a great executive chef that changed this up daily and kept the dishes exciting. Diving - The crew knew exactly where to go and "why" and used surface travel time incorporated into the surface interval to keep things moving with minimal rocking and rolling on the surface. Would I use this company again for our shop trip? In a half a heart beat, YES. Actually, starting to plan next years trip to Little Cayman, as I type. If you need a recommendation, please accept this one. You will not be disappointed at all. Also, ensure you use the local bus system. Easy to get to anywhere on the island... for a few dollars!!!!…
This is a great Dive resort if all you want to do in Grand Cayman is scuba dive. The room is adequate, food good and dive shop on site. BUT.... if you want to hit the beautiful beach, turquoise water and do the many things that there are to do in Grand Cayman, this resort is located far away from the action. I felt like I was staying in a compound and had to walk to the bus station every time I wanted to take a walk on the beach. This is unfortunate since GC is know for its lovely beaches. The public transportation is easy and cheap, but in the future, I would stay closer to town. The dive boat and staff were amazing. The diving was great. The location was not what I was expecting, and the fact the dock was closed. We had to shuttle every day to get on the dive boat.
