Our group from Hart City Scuba arranged a trip to Grand Cayman in March 2019 for our annual scuba diving, choosing Cobalt Coast as our resort. Upon arrival, the staff are very friendly and take care of everything for you. You are instantly able to begin your vacation. The

Pros: The dive staff is congenial, knowledgeable and happy to help. Rooms were clean and spacious. Prompt linen service. Emma at the front desk is fantastic. She is efficient, polite, and demonstrates a great work ethic. My plane departure time changed by 4 hours, and I asked if

We thank you for your visit and your review, Diver523. Although there was confusion regarding the bar menu availability, we're happy the manager got it worked out for you and we believe that everyone is on the same page, now. And as for the roosters...they aren't ours and are a "love 'em" or "hate 'em" kind of animal. Very few are ambivalent. They are part of life on most Caribbean islands. Although Grand Cayman is more cosmopolitan, you'll find tehm all over - even in George Town. We're sorry they interrupted your sleep.

The resort has nice rooms, decent food and great staff and super service. Diving is straight of the dock and they set up all your kit. No carrying heavy tanks here. If the weather is rough they also Haver a dock in a sheltered cove that 10 minutes away. So even when its gets

We're happy you had a nice stay, TranceAtlanti, and we thank you for your review. We have explored nighttime entertainment and regularly review, but this is a very small resort wiht a small footprint in a residential neighborhood. So there are as many people who are happy we do NOT have lots going on at night as there are who would like some options. Next project is to finish up remodeling the bathrooms in all the main resort rooms. Then we can take a look at other ideas we have for making the resort better and improving guest experiences. In spite of the lack of entertainment, we hope to see you again.

We arrived at the airport and were met by our driver and transported to Cobalt Coast. The resort is very nice and all the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had been to Cobalt Coast 2 years prior and now under new management found the changes very impressive and positive.

We I enjoyed Grand Cayman marine life & water, but next time we won’t be staying at, or diving with, Cobalt Coast. We heard from others that this resort was a fantastic place to be under the previous management, but for them this trip was disappointing especially with regard to

We're sorry you were disappointed in your visit, CalDiverGirl2015. But we have come to realize thatguests have different expectations. We do our best to meet them as often as possible and recognize that our little Cobalt Coast Resort isn't right for everyone. While we know it's not perfect and continue to work to improve and finish up remodel projects, we have many guests who absolutely love it and come back regularly. We do thank you for visiting and for providing feedback from your perspective. We wish you the best in finding your prefect vacation spot in the future.

Is there laundry available for guest use?
There is a washer/dryer unit in the cottages... not sure about the main building.

Do all of the units have an ocean view?
No. We have five garden-view rooms (our least expensive) and two 1-bedroom cottages that are located in a garden area across a small local road from our main resort. It's about a 2-minute walk from the cottages to the oceanfront.

Is this a safe place for pregnant women to go?
I don't know why it wouldn't be safe for anyone. If you are referring to mosquito-born illnesses, the island was removed from the CDC's warning list in 2017 are result of their successful mosquito control program and the lack of any local virus outbreaks.

Although we welcome kids, this is a very small resort that was built to cater to divers and we just don't see many children. There is snorkeling off our pier (weather permitting) which requires use of a ladder to get out (you can just jump in if you want). We don't have a wade-in beach. Most of the Grand Cayman is iron shore (rocky) with the exception of the Seven Mile Beach area. But we have an elevated beach we have built between the water and pool area. We have a small pool, but it is almost 4' deep at the shallow end. We unfortunately don't have the room for much play area beyond this small beach. And later this summer we will have some pool games and family board games available. I hope this helps you plan your vacation.

If you are low keyed type who likes to lounge by the pool you will be ok. Use as a home base and rent a car would be great. Driving around is safe and easy. There is no nightlife or any type of entertainment on site. Kids would be bored to tears. No swimming from the small sand area.
