We live in Eastern Oregon and took a day trip to pick huckleberries along the road to Cornucopia Lodge, poke around the old mining town, and rest along the banks of the clear rushing water of Pine Creek. We had made reservations for the evening meal at The Lodge where we joined several guests to enjoy great food and a... More

Way better than Wallowa lake lodge. Cabins were immaculate. Beds were pretty comfy and the staff were incredibly friendly. Hikes straight out the front door. Stables, and a great family style breakfast in the morning that was cooked fresh while we waited. We will be back

We have stayed in Halfway, Oregon once before and loved the area. It is just a couple hours drive from our house so we decided to make another trip for just one night. My wife found the Cornucopia Lodge and we decided to head up for a night. Made our reservation in the morning and arrived a few hours later.... More

Had the most fun snowmobile trip of my life from Cornucopia Lodge. The food was just amazing with homemade bread that I could have eaten until I exploded! Way to much food. Lunches packed for us each day too! The people running a lodge always are key to the experience and I can not give enough praise for their hospitality!... More

Had the most excellent adventure with seven friends snowmobiling from the lodge. Spent three nights eating and relaxing after a days worth of riding. Everything was fantastic from the food to the fire, etc.... You can make any kind of great memory here, getaway, romance, hike, you name it. I have a smile every second I think of all the... More

We were not there for the horses or snowmobiling but I'm sure those activities are well served by Debbie and Ralph, lodge keepers extraordinaire. Now this place is not down town...it is 12 miles up the mountain from Halfway, Oregon along the Hell's Canyon Byway! I was in awe when Ralph explained the technology they use to generate electricity off... More

Three friends rode our motorcycles and stayed at Cornucopia lodge as the first leg of a 4 day trip. We were treated like family, even made enough time the next morning for a horseback ride up Pine Creek. Katlin was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable of the local history. Then there were the meals. After all, eating and riding... More

We spent 3 nights in a two-bedroom cabin in cornucopia lodge over the labor-day weekend 2013, to ride our own animals in the amazing Eagle cap wilderness. We had an awesome stay! The accommodation of the animals was great, they got 12x 12 foot pens so they could relax at night instead of having to be tied. The cabin was... More

17 of our snowmobile club just spent 3 nights at the lodge and we had an awesome stay. Ralph and Debbie took such good care of us, and the meals were amazing. There was great riding but wished it had been sunny.

A comfortable, quiet lodge in a beautiful place. We stayed for 2 days after hiking the Eagle Cap. The lodge and cabin were spotless and very comfortable. Our only minor disappointment was the lack of a working stove and refrigerator in the cabin. Not a big problem because the meals served at the lodge were excellent and reasonably priced so... More
