Made a last minute booking and turned up a few hours later, and am very pleased with our choice, and with the greeting from Claire, the owner, who gave us a guided tour. A fantastic place, hardly a b&b in the traditional sense - far, far more than that. Two great sitting rooms to chill in, with a whiskey bar,...

My wife and I stayed in The Ethel Noble Room and my son in the twin bedroom on the same floor which gave us exclusive use of that floor. We have stayed in many of the top 5 star hotels both in the UK and overseas and this beautiful bed and breakfast matches them. From Claire's welcome on arrival, the...

We booked a last minute trip originally for one night and because we have never felt so relaxed in someone else's beautiful home we decided to stay another night. Having read the reviews we expected it to be something special but it really is somewhere you have to experience yourself, my review just cannot convey the warm, relaxed atmosphere and...

Yes this is a lovely hotel with great service and lots of little extras you may not expect, it is also set in a charming village overlooked by a castle, with riverside walks, honey stone cottages, individual shops, pubs and restaraunts. Being close to the coast with its beautiful beaches just adds to the pleasure of a stay at the Roxbro.

We came home from our stay at Roxboro House wonderfully recharged. I have never stayed in a B&B (or a hotel for that matter) where I have felt so cosseted and relaxed! Somehow Claire and her partner managed to provide fantastic service whilst leaving us feeling as if the hotel was ours to enjoy - we felt like it was...

Having read the reviews on here we expected a great stay and we were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped through the front door we were made to feel very welcome, the service was second to none, and attention to detail was superb. The atmosphere was more like staying in a lovely family home rather than a B+ B....

I arranged a surprise few days for my sister's "special" birthday and it was just wonderful. The pre-ordered champagne and strawberries were in the room awaiting her arrival, the champagne beautifully chilled. She was over the moon. Our party consisted of 4 of us and we were lucky enough to get the rooms overlooking the castle. The rooms are extremely...

We originally checked in for 2 days but stayed for 4 and as a result we experienced 2 of the rooms. Both were great, beautifully decorated and spotless. Claire and Stu are lovely people and look after guests perfectly, there are so many additional little touches that I lost count! Will return.

Just returned from a four night stay, cannot add any thing to all of the other reviews as they already have said it. Stayed in Ethol Noble room largest bed i have slept in and very comfy. Room is at the front but traffic noise was never a problem. Would be very happy to stay here any time.
