What an amazing experience, pumping waves, uncrowded lineup, beautiful accommodation and delicious food 👌🏽

Your host Earl, you will not find a more knowledgeable guy. Earl has been living in the area for 10+ years, his knowledge of wind, swell and local weather conditions in the area is first class. If you want to score the best waves, Earl is your guy!

Can’t wait to get back 😊

Thanks

Eli ✌🏽

Earl has this region dialed.. From wind and swell directions to making the right call on where and when to go to score classic conditions. There's heaps of options around here so having his experience is invaluable!
They have a really good team to ensure it all works smoothly. Accomodation and food was top notch and the location of the camp has the true raw natural jungle feel that we all look for.
Will always remember this Asu surf camp trip as an absolute highlight and will definitely be going back.

The camp looks out to Asu surf break. Bungalows are great, food is awesome! Earl was an amazing host and was committed to finding us the best waves. Waves pumped every day, Asu can handle any size, got boat to other amazing breaks on the other days. Usually it was just me and a couple of mates in the water. Earl lent me a board after our boards didn't arrive until the next day, he sorted the missing boards with his drivers for only a small fee. The staff were amazing. Thanks for your hospitality Earl and Sa!

This is the place to stay ...if you want to surf just with your mates in a variety of lefts and rights at different levels of intensity look no further!
We were forced to go very late season 23 October to 3rd November (for Covid related reasons). I was a little concerned, but Earl assured me it will be fine, and it was! A grunty left out front and rights a boat ride away that are offshore in the opposite winds, so options are plenty with only three other surfers on the Island.
Earl has an intimate knowledge of the complex weather patterns that come with being this close to the equator and knows when and where to be so he will get you to the pumping waves and he caters for the different abilities (some spots are heavy). The food is really good, healthy and plentiful and the bintangs always cold, staff super helpful and happy. The accommodation comfortable complete with mosi nets and fans mounted at the end of the bed inside the net (not that mosies seemed to be much of an issue) the air conditioning was so good ensuring a good night sleep.

Asu is a top notch resort. One of the best I have ever stayed at. They have it so dialed. Earl and his team do an amazing job making you feel comfortable, making sure you have as much delicious (and healthy) food you need, and of course making sure you get empty pumping waves. I had an amazing trip and look forward to coming back. I highly recommend it.

Earle and Samantha know how to run a surf camp. They know where to go and when, the lodging is high quality, the food is great and there’s plenty of it. In addition to the surf, the thing that really got me was the atmosphere. It’s a small place, maybe up to eight surfers, and everyone is super welcoming. All meals are family style and you really feel comfortable, not so much like a paying guest. It was my brother and my first time there, but everyone else had been there before. Definitely the best spot on the island.

Just returned from my first trip to Asu Camp. What an amazing experience! Surf was fantastic and uncrowded. Food excellent and plentiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The accomodations were great with views of the waves and sunsets. As for our host Earl, he is the man when it comes to reading weather and surf conditions and getting you on the best waves possible. Well worth the effort to get there. I will be back.

Stayed for 10 days, scored waves all over the islands and good vibes at the camp right in front of Asu. Big uncrowded waves, barrels, turns, everything you want. The bungalows and food were great. Earl the owner is very knowledgeable of the breaks and conditions and makes good calls of where to surf. He, his family, and staff are all very friendly, care about the guest's experience, and want a good time just as much as you. A great way to get some totally uncrowded, pumping waves with good people.

The last few reviews above are all spot on.

Any surfer is going to have a great time at Asu Camp and on the local waves.
Earl was great. He knows what surfers need and provides it without fuss.
That even extended to time in the water talking me into the sweet spots as he noticed my enthusiasm generally exceeded my ability.
He was happy to run the boats to where ever the best waves are and his local crew were all very friendly and competent. Cant ask for more in that beautifully remote location really.
I will no doubt be back.
