Simply amazing! Luxury in a quite relaxed atmosphere. Staff was so nice and kind. Food and drinks was extremely delicious. You can do water sports, bike around the pretty little island or just enjoy the sea and sun on the comfortable sun beds. I love the eco friendly profile too!
We stayed at Palm from March 9-19. The fact that you are "welcomed home" by the staff speaks volumes of the experience you get on the island. I'm not just talking about the welcome at the dock when you arrive, but the arrival in the restaurant the 1st evening and staff you remember also remember you. Even though the was our 3rd visit, it was the 1st time we met Katie. She had been on holiday the other two times. We can't say enough about what a wonderful person she is. She is a effective manager who is loved by her staff. That fact is a real key to the pleasure of being there. In my 1st review 6 years ago, I said "The staff will soothe your soul". Well the very same folks were there this time and they are still just as wonderful. I will not name anyone since all are wonderful! On this visit we unfortunately had the underlying nagging fact of the spread of the coronavirus through the world. Katie put in the best precautions she could by having staff do the serving at the buffet. Although people were aware of the crisis it was evident that the atmosphere did not get shattered as it could have. There was empathy for all and this allowed us to basically just have fun and enjoy ourselves until we had to go home. Many folks were leaving early to get home if they could get the flights, others like us just stayed our regular time. A week after we left, They had to close up shop. There are only 2 cases on the main island of St. Vincent and I hope it stays that way and does not spread to the other island. My thoughts are with Katie and the staff who remain. This crisis will ultimately pass and we look forward to the time when we will make our 4th visit, returning home to our island paradise. Thank you Katie and all of the staff there. PS - On a visit to the greenhouse the farmer appreciates getting vegetable seeds from guests so I'll make sure to bring some next time!…
Palm Island is a fantastic, remote but luxurious, getaway! We loved every minute! Gorgeous beaches, fantastic food, and SUCH a helpful and friendly staff. Katie and her team make everything so easy and seamless. highly recommend this destination!
We spent another glorious two weeks starting in early February 2020 at Palm Island, our 19th time! Obviously, we are happy “repeaters” as we greatly enjoy the lush tropical surroundings, super staff, delicious meals, pleasant guests (mainly from the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland), white sandy beaches, warm Caribbean Sea and fun activities (swimming, snorkeling, biking, walking, sailing, hiking trails, repeaters’ sunset cruise on Yannis and the weekly Manager’s cocktail party). We especially appreciated the special Valentine’s Day dinner that started with long stem roses for the women, champagne, and caviar on toast! Our servers (Martinus, Shaquille, Olive and Hulda) were wonderful (see photos). In fact, all of the wait staff were friendly, efficient and professional. Thank you to Kashi, Kenroy, Glenford, Niashair and many others for taking such good care of us. Johnny the bartender and Chef Baka deserve kudos, too. Others meriting mention: Andez, the new Activities Director with his hilarious aqua-robics classes, the front office staff (Joe, Ed, Alaska), Charles, room beverage service, Lisa of Housekeeping, Waldo at water sports, Captain Manny of the Yannis, the new restaurant manager, Dervon. And of course, Katie, the Manager, who holds it all together so well. The full moon while we there brought its higher tides and some water and sand flooding of walkways but also brought more sea birds (pelicans, terns, frigates, gulls) feeding just offshore. On shore we saw egrets, hummingbirds, tropical mocking birds, banana quits, sand pipers, mourning doves and a crowned heron. Iguanas, geckos, lizards, crabs and land turtles were frequently seen. Lunch at The Sunset Bar was always a treat. Examples from the menu: great French fries to go with spicy jerk chicken or a shared pizza or sashimi or grilled fish along with fresh salad fixings. Sea turtles can be sighted surfacing just offshore during lunchl. For a small added fee, you can order a beautiful lobster meal in season. Palm Island truly offers a rich and wide array of attractions in the gorgeous Grenadine Islands. We look forward to another great vacation there in 2021.…
My wife and I, with another couple had one of the best strips I have ever had. We had a great location, exceptional food, and great excursions. I would highly recommend Palm Island for a relaxing retreat. The staff was excellent, attending to our every request. Probably the best trip I ever had for R&R.
