We booked this 2 years ago pre-covid and SO needed Palm Island to disconnect/reconnect. This trip to paradise was perfect! The staff was so welcoming upon arrival, and our suite was comfortable and clean. The beach is gorgeous and water crystal clear with snorkeling steps from our suite with a variety of colorful fish. We biked around the island, hiked, played tennis and went to the gym. We had delicious meals (try the veal chop, tuna sashimi, ceviche, marlin and filet). And the staff became family. Thank you to our waiters and bartenders (Parnel, Louis, Shak, Nia, Andre, Tamara, Oliver, Johnnie, Glenford, Hulda, Minroy), the happy Housekeeping staff (Joy), and management (Devon, Alaska and Katie). I cried tears of joy and sadness when we left. We'll be back to paradise with our friends soon.

This is the ultimate couple’s resort. I hate to write such a great review, because we want it all to ourselves. Pros: small private island. Limited number of guest. Absolutely the best staff of any resort we’ve been to in the world. Breathtaking views from the patio of the beachfront bungalows. Fantastic food and top shelf libations. Did I mention the fantastic staff yet. Excursions available, but why leave paradise. And let but not least, a fantastic world class staff.

Palm Island is a truly special place. We have been there twice and both times we were blown away. Everything about it is magical from the views, the water, the beach, but almost more importantly the staff and management- from Katie, Dervon, chef, Shaq, Nia, Tevin, Hulda, Glenford, Andre, Parnell, Tamara, Alaska, and so many others. Both times we traveled with another couple and had the amazing time from sailing, swimming, snorkeling, drinking, eating, dancing, hiking, biking, suntanning, turtle and iguana watching, enjoying the spa… I could go on and on and on. The service is top notch. When you leave, you are truly sad and miss all the people you meet. We will be back again soon!

The island is a stunning location with crisp white sandy beaches set against turquoise waters. A 135 acre island with around only 41 rooms makes this a real private castaway island holiday. We spent 14 nights here in May, the resort was not full which added to the privacy feel of being on your own private island. We experienced a number of the resorts activities, sunset sail on a catamaran, sail to Tobago Cays on the resorts yacht the Pink Lady, trips to nearby Mopion Island and Chatham Bay, Picnic at Hammock 4, Private Dinner under the Gazebo, and a couples massage at the Spa, which we would recommend. The crew of the hotels catamaran Yannis and the yacht Pink Lady all went out of their way to make all the trips enjoyable and memorable, providing excellent BBQ's on the beaches in the Tobago Cays. All staff at the resort go above and beyond to provide a first class service under the watchful eye of the hotels Manager Katie who certainly runs a very tight ship with customer service a paramount. All of the beachfront rooms have undergone a refurbishment but our stay was in one of the garden view rooms which although spacious and comfortable do not appear to have been refurbished since they were opened in the 1990's and the fittings and furniture are looking a bit dated now, we would certainly advise this as something the resort need to consider. Overall we had a lovely break and came home felling fully refreshed. A big thank you to all the staff for their care and hospitality during our stay.

This was a combination anniversary & retirement trip for my wife and me. It was also our second trip to Palm Island. Air transport to Palm is always an adventure. We missed our connection in Barbados but the Palm staff at the airport met us, arranged for a hotel and a taxi. Since Covid was still acive at the time, our test results were going to be outside the airline's window, meaning more Covid tests and more overnight stays. Somehow, the Palm rep fixed it. We stayed in a superior Beachfront room, which was recently refurbished and lovely. Only issue was the distance to the beach. Don't get me wrong, we could easily see the beach & it was maybe 50 feet away. During our previous visit, we stayed in the units only a few feet from the water in a Beachfront room, which I would recommend, provided they have been refurbished. The food, staff & service was superior with nothing but accolades. It is a rather small resort so you see the same guest faces each day and each night at the bar. Great if you like that sort of familiarity. It's not Sandals, which to me is a big plus. Go & enjoy.

This place is amazing. So relaxing and unpretentious. You know all the personnel, they take care of you and treat you like family. The resort is amazing, the island is beautiful and all to yourself. There are no words that can describe this amazing place. The management greets you every day and sends you of on the boat saying goodbye. The service is 5 Star! We are going back, it is beyond amazing, beautiful and wonderful. First Class service the whole way!

Amazing place and staff! We celebrated our 50th bday and 20th anniversary with a family group of 28 people, we even had some teenagers! Katie and her staff were just brilliant. There is not one thing that we would change. Palm island is truly a special place! Their attention to detail, the delicious food prepared by Chef Baka, the hotel staff, the Yannis crew! Every day it got better. Thank you very much for making this special time even more special!

Our week at this resort was hands-down the best vacation my husband and I have ever had, and we consider ourselves seasoned travelers. Let me first state that by far what sets this place apart is the amazing, friendly, service-oriented staff. They truly take the time to bond with their guests, and when we left we felt we were leaving old friends. The resort itself has a max capacity of 100 guests, and the week we went was during their slower time (2nd week of June) - there were about 35 guests there. So we truly felt like we had the island to ourselves. I read reviews before going, but none did the resort true justice. You just have to experience it for yourself. But here are a few hopefully helpful comments based on our experience: ROOMS: We stayed in a Superior Beachfront Room. While we were there, we toured the other rooms and villas and felt that the rooms we had (Rooms 5 & 6) were the best on the island. We got clarification that originally all the beachfront rooms were the same, but people more often requested the rooms 7 and above because they were closer to the water/better views. So Palm Island remodeled the rooms 1-6 as Superior Beachfront - they extended the rooms out a little to add more enclosed closet/wet bar space, remodeled the bathrooms and added a privacy porch with a bed and shower. We felt the upgrades were well done, and we loved the location. The beach in front of the Superior Rooms was a better swimming area, and the large sliding glass doors and porch bed were amazing additions that really sets the view apart. My husband and I have often have trouble sleeping in a bed other than our own, but the beds at Palm Island were very comfortable. AMENITIES: Things Palm Island provides that you don't need to necessarily bring - beach towels, refillable water bottle (water on island is great), wide assortment of beverages and spirits in your room, small bottles of shampoo, lotion, shower cap, soap, makeup wipes, surface insect spray (not skin), nice hair dryer, makeup mirror, coffee maker and supplies (Maxwell House), laundry services (fee I believe), plenty of clothes hangers, 2 robes, alarm clock with USB ports for charging. Things I was glad I brought or wish I had brought - skin insect repellant, sealable portable cup, hair conditioner (none was in my room but that may have just been an oversight), better in-room coffee if you're a coffee snob like me and don't like Maxwell House, my own snorkeling gear as Palm Island is currently not loaning out face masks and snorkels due to Covid concerns (this doesn't apply to fins or the snorkeling excursions). Also, they have extended the wi-fi on the island and we always had it in our room (room 6), which was a nice surprise. My husband's only complaint was that most mornings around 4:00 - 6:00 a.m., the power would go off for 15 minutes while they changed generators. This never bothered my sleep, and they let us know ahead of time. But my husband sleeps with a bi-pap machine and the power going out gave him a rude awakening. If you use a breathing machine at night, I would look into some backup battery options. EXCURSIONS/EXTRAS: We did the Yannis snorkeling tour, and really enjoyed seeing the area. The trip includes stopping at one of the nearby islands for swimming, stopping in the Tobago Cays to snorkel with the turtles, a very delicious lunch and stopping at another island in the Cays to feed the sting rays. It also included all you could drink rum punch. We also booked Hammock #4 for the day, and that was quite lovely. I had the Hibiscus treatment at the spa and that was absolutely incredible - great massage! There was a short 2-hour bottom line fishing tour that we booked with our traveling friends that went right off the coast of the island. The minute we first cast, we started catching different types of fish - I caught two on the first throw! There were quite a few swells in the area when we went, though, and my husband got sea sick. The captains were nice enough to take us quickly back to shore. Our friends stayed on the trip and filled up buckets of fish that we were able to eat that same evening. WEDDINGS: Our friends renewed their vows while we were there, and the ceremony, location and service from the staff was absolutely amazing. I'll include a couple of pictures, but if you're looking for a place to get married or renew vows, this is an incredible place. FOOD: We never had a bad meal. The food is excellent and the staff is open to anything you want to order/try. There were several times we tried two different appetizers and/or ordered food to go. We certainly never went hungry and I'm currently in a two-week time period of avoiding the scale post trip...ha! My favorite meal was the last night when the chef cooked the fresh fish that was caught on the fishing excursion that morning. He cooked it several different ways but all were delicious! STAFF: I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. From the moment we landed in Barbados and were met by a Palm Island representative, we were pampered and taken care of by amazing people. We laughed a LOT, shared stories of family, danced, drank, hugged, and felt at home with the staff and other guests. The people of Palm Island are a rare gem. I know I'm forgetting some, but specifically I'd like to say thank you to Katie, Alaska, Dervon (Ed), Shaq, Tevin, Nia, Parnell, Tamara, Andre, Philicia and Johnny for making our stay absolutely incredible. My husband and I both love to travel and see different places, and Palm Island is the first place that we have both said we have to return to no matter what. We will hopefully see you all again soon, my friends!

Everything was amazing , from the time we arrived to the time we unfortunately had to leave. Every staff member was pleasant , polite and always acknowledged you when passing by , even the grounds keepers and the housekeeping staff. What an amazing place!! Very clean, property well manicured great food and drinks. Had Chef Bakka had amazing meals and top shelf liquor . Rooms were fantastic and great views, we had Superior ocean front on the beach and was wonderful. Loved the big bathrooms. Every room looked like it had rinse off places at your door to rinse sand off before entering your room , which a wonderful plus . we actually had a real nice private outdoor shower at out room , wonderful plus. Staff was fantastic , Katie the manager very so so friendly and always checking to make sure everything was ok. Special shout outs to Dervon, Glennford,Tevin,Luis, Andre,Shaq ,Tamara, Nia were the ones that waited on us the most ,went over and above service for us!! Oliver and Hula were great also, just hadn't had to much encounter with them when we were there. Overall everyone was perfect !!! Just loved everyone and miss you all !!
