After two years we returned to our favourite holiday place ever: Casina Grotta di Ferro in Ragusa, Sicily. Since our last visit the management of the place had changed but we were very happy to notice that it was still the same relaxed atmosphere, very well kept property, delicious breakfast and last but definitely least: also the new manager Massimo... We were having an awful time at another place with no pool, and no air conditioning, when we booked a room last minute at this incredible villa. Air conditioning? YES. Pool? YES. I can't even quite express how amazing this place is. Massimo was so welcoming, we were upgraded to a suite, the pool is astounding, the setting is stunning,... More

We held our Wedding here in June and everyone who attended agreed what an amazing place this is. An old villa set in beautiful countryside with views out to the sea. The atmosphere just makes you relax, even during the hectic final stages of the wedding day I just loved waking up to sunshine and birdsong in the courtyard. The... More

We stayed in Grotta di Ferro for a week in October and absolutely loved it. The pictures don't do it justice. It is so beautiful, full of character and quite. Far reaching views everywhere and the most beautiful garden our 5 year old son loved to play in. Our room had lots of character and was spacious, well appointed and... More

Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night in the Duke's Suite. Our daughter booked us into the evening cooking class for authentic Sicilian cooking as well. Our total experience was fantastic! The facility is 1st class +. We had everything we could ever want in the room including a nice hot shower that a real sized person could fit into (i'm... More

We booked our 4 day stay here based on trip advisor recommendations and we have to agree with everyone else. The friendly and helpful service and valuable advice from Franco and Max made our stay at Casina di Grotta di Ferro enjoyable and memorable. We found the restaurant recommendations they gave us were excellent - you can't go wrong if... More

We spent three days in this wonderful hotel and I only wished we could stay there longer! It is in the middle of countryside, you will need a car for this hotel -but so peaceful, beautiful and very relaxing. We loved everything about this hotel - very friendly staff and owners, good swimming pool, lovely surroundings and stunning room. I... More

We stayed in the hotel for 12 days, and we enjoyed every single moment. Excellent room service, clean, nice cozy rooms. The family run hotel is located in a very quiet place, with amazing landscapes, full of nature with everything your would need to even stay and relax on the swimming pool or go and visit the nearby-neverending small, beautiful...
