We spent 2 nights here courtesy of a discount voucher. We had a pleasant room and had asked for a quiet room but were at the front overlooking the road. Whilst not terribly busy but we are aware of external noise that's why we always ask for quieter rooms. The room had A/C which was essential during the hot spell... More

Small room but big enough for 2nights. Not cleaned very well. Found somebody's medication on the floor and an empty loo role had rolled just under the bed. Taps quite close to the edge of the sink to wash hands properly. Shower head and kettle needed a clean from limescale. Blinds were broken and papercliped back on. Potential to be... More

We went for a weekend away. The pub is very nice, the locals were very friendly and great fun to hang out with and the room was perfect. We had a meal at the pub next door which was also nice. The village itself is very quaint

We arrived in the pretty village about 3pm to find the Loco locked up. There was a notice in the window to say it opened at 4pm and if you needed earlier entrance to call the number but it went to voicemail so we went to the nearby pub for a drink. Would have been nice to know this when... More

Small but nicely fitted room with everything you need. The downstairs bar only opens in the evening as does the franchised restaurant attached. The Duke of Wellington pub next door (same owner) also provides evening meals and breakfast for guests at the Loco. I found the restaurant there rather canteen like and lacking atmosphere but the staff were great. The... More

Couldn't really fault the accommodation. Simple and basic but upto date and everything you need. We got a free evening meal at the pub next door, which have to say although simple was spot on! Minimal menu but good food. Friendly landlord at the Loco, answered all our questions then left us too it. Overall a nice break

Booked in on a Wowcher deal. Room looked to be recently refurbished, heating was a little complicated but after working out remote control room was nice and warm, small room but adaquent for one night. Parking was in the quiet Main Street which was fine in the week but may be a problem at the weekend. Food was served in... More

We visited the Loco this week for a 'Romantic Break'. After reading previous reviews we were open minded on being allocated Room 6 when requesting a quiet room. It was indeed quiet when we arrived, being at the back and the furthest away from the road but when we returned after dinner at the Duke William we could hear music... More
