We stayed 8 days in a large 1 bedroom ocean view suite, great furniture, full kitchen, wonderful balcony, and spotlessly clean. Time on the beach every day and always plenty of room, towels, chairs, umbrellas and cabanas. Snorkeling never gets old with a coral reef so close you literally walk 30 - 40 feet straight out to it. Clear water to watch all of the fish following you as you float in a gentle surf for hours on end. Great activities all around helpfully suggested and then arraigned by the hotel butlers a definite bonus - really enjoyed kayaking in Mangrove Cay. Good food and drinks in both restaurants on site, and also elsewhere on the island - special shout out to Mr. Groupers for a fantastic dinner. What could be better than all of that, you may ask? The hotel staff. People on the island are wonderfully friendly to begin with, but the staff at Windsong made our time there so completely fabulous from start to finish with no issues or shortcomings that was miles above any vacation experience we have had ever. Even being there during Hurricane Fiona for a day did not dampen our experience - we were well informed, secured and safe, plus they brought us coffee, water, and cookies when the power went out for a little while. They did that with a smile and a spring in their step even though I would bet they were worried about their own homes and family during the storm, (and I am quite sure their power was out longer than ours at the hotel). Meal & drink service, room service, front desk, housekeeping, and beach side help, was all performed smoothly and timely by friendly outgoing people who were happy to stop and talk to get to know you ( and us them), learn your needs, and just smile and say "hi" in passing. It is hard to single out even a few, but I would be remiss not to mention a special thanks to Samatha, Khalil, Derron, and 6 stars to the staff at JoJo's + Alicia and RJ - always hustling and accommodating. We have been more than a few places in our travels, and we have never vacationed in the same place twice. Windsong On The Reef and the wonderful island beauty and people of TCI will surely tempt our hearts to visit again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your happiness. Your review was "completely fabulous" too. Long ago, I realized that the biggest motivator of people is recognition. You certainly have provided all of us with positive recognition (in this review) and on property that goes far in keeping us highly motivated to keep providing "above and beyond" service. It was our distinct pleasure to host you and it warms our collective hearts like a Caribbean sun to know that we might get a first repeat visit from "never vacationed in the same place" guests! We delightedly await your return.

Hotel's Favorite
My family and I (wife, two children- age 9, senior in-laws) spent a week at Windsong. I will write this review with the intention that it gets to the attention of Mr. Molter himself. Prior to going, I read MANY reviews on TA- many good, some not so good, and some so-so. The "not so good" ones piqued my interest, and became the point of interest during my stay, as if to validate or invalidate their observations and stated assertions. This is my attempt at providing a fair and thorough review through the eyes of a relatively seasoned Caribbean traveler. Strengths: The resort was as clean, if not cleaner than any other respectable resort I have visited. While not "spic and span/surgical table clean", it clearly met or exceeded US Health Codes and I saw no overt issues that I would consider unacceptable by the average or better visitor. The staff was observed to be hard working and personably friendly (more on this further on). The snorkeling at the directly adjacent Bight Reef/Princess Alexandra Nat'l Park was better than you could expect if not the best for off shore snorkeling. You are at most 30 feet from the protected reef area where schools of tropical reef fish of multiple species congregate. It is perfect for both strong swimmers and not as strong swimmers alike. The fish gather close to the shore line making it easy to simply stand and put your face in the water to see them. The beach itself was amply available with chairs, cabanas, and plenty of sand to stake a claim at any point in the day. The activity pool was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hot tub seemed likewise, though we did not use. There is a separate secluded pool near the bungalows that seemed always empty if you want privacy. The water sports equipment seemed fine and the Hobie Cat provided 2 excellent ocean adventures (highly recommended, and the staff is very skilled at piloting)! The 2 rooms we occupied (1 two bedroom suite ocean front, 1 one bedroom suite ocean front) were very spacious and well furnished. The amenities and appliances in the kitchen were more than suitable and we used all of them (fridge, ice maker, blender, stove, oven, dishwasher, pod coffee maker, pots/pans/dinner ware). There are multiple USB ports for all your charging cables. Do still bring 1 or 2 outlet adapters if you exceed the number of USBs, or want to charge where there isn't one. The washer and drier were also used and very appreciated. Overall, the property was well taken care of- from the house keeping staff to the grounds maintenance staff. Of note by name, Annette (the property manger) was on-site every day, and made rounds ensuring guest satisfaction and interacting with staff as a good manager should. Other recognized staff: Shelly at the Dunes restaurant, the beach side chef (I never got his name), Pejoe at Jo Jo's bar, Samuel at Jo Jo's, Johnson at Jo Jo's, the house butler (I don't recall his name), and ALL the gentlemen at the Towel/Watersports area were all above grade and should be given the appropriate accolades for a job well done! Each in their own way showed exemplary service in contributing to a very positive guest experience. Areas for growth and improvement: The food is "hit and miss". I understand that for a short time the resort offered a food plan. That may have helped with the reception of the menu, but they stopped it shortly before we arrived. We had a few good meals (Jerk pasta on "Caribbean Night", BBQ pork ribs, "Jerk Burger", curry tiger shrimp) but many meals were "less than" in multiple ways (ultra dry chicken breast, dry pork chop, poached eggs that were more hard boiled). To become a full blown "5 star" resort, it needs to address this issue of food quality. Consider bringing in a highly qualified master chef to provide oversight, offer guidance and recommendations, and improve the shortfalls noted. Food service appears to be on "island time". On every occasion, except for when ordering room service, we would place our order and wait anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes (not exaggerated, but timed by my son on multiple instances) to receive our food. We tried to accommodate for this by sending 1 person to order ahead for the party allowing them a few more minutes in the pool or on the beach instead of sitting and waiting at the table. If this is a staffing issue, please consider acquiring appropriate staffing. If this is a food preparation challenge, please address inefficiencies. The "Happy Hour" event means 2 for 1 drinks (they must be the same drink) and a limited option of appetizers. This is disheartening if you both don't like the same cocktails or you each want something different. While I can understand the price point considerations, there must be a better way to achieve this and allow for variety. Each meal comes with a "10% service charge". This was never consistently explained. Was it an automatic gratuity? Was it tax? When our party provided a separate gratuity based on the total w/o tax and service charge, we were questioned about it. This should not have happened as a gratuity is at the guests' discrepancy. Fairly loud music was playing at the pool area after 10:00 PM. Considering there were families there with younger children that may have had a pre-10 PM bed time, this was a hint inconsiderate. Also, there were no observable people sitting near the pool while this music was playing so I am not sure for who's benefit this music was playing. If for beach side diners, perhaps consider turning the speakers in that direction. The bottom step leading to the beach area had the sand washed out from under it, making the drop to the sand more than 6 inches. For anyone with mobility challenges (this means you elder seniors), this can make the beach unreachable. The last day we were there, staff finally pushed up enough sand to minimize the gap. Perhaps make this a daily task? Additional observations/tips/thoughts: First and foremost, the staff is comprised entirely of human beings. This may sound a bit absurd to state, but it is important to remember that these are just regular people doing a job, and they should be given such respect. Each person there has a story- don't be afraid to ask and listen to it. I had several one-on-one conversations with staff to get to know them as people. I was kind, courteous, and respectable, and they treated me likewise. I think many folks who may have reviewed the resort in the past felt a hint to entitled, and staff may have responded accordingly. Give respect, get respect. Don't be afraid to ask them how they are doing, and sincerely wish them a good day! Smile more, demand less! Because of the size of the island and utilities, the drinking water is desalinated sea water. It will taste a bit different if you are typically used to processed or treated drinking water. If this bothers you, I would recommend purchasing bottled water upon arrival. If possible, bring your own snorkel and mask. It's just a good idea and provides convenience at all times. The sun there is likely much brighter and stronger than most folks are used to. Get reef safe sunscreen and use it liberally- reapply as needed throughout the day. Sunburn is a constant threat. The resort coordinates a daily grocery store shuttle ride. It is $10 per person round trip without gratuity. They will take you to the local IGA that is geared toward tourists. Prices are "east coast/Northeast" high. Some prices will shock you, but you are paying for import costs and convenience. Recognize that, and adjust accordingly or do without. Well into our trip, we heard mention of the "Smart Market" as where the locals shop with cheaper prices. We did not visit, but assume it lacks many of the tourist popular products (think snack foods, convenience products, select produce). The island sunsets are NOT to be missed. Some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Taxi prices to various locations are listed in the front lobby if you are thinking of going off property for dinner or shopping. They are per person, and range from $15 up. The resort next door has a restaurant ("Somewhere Café"). They serve Tex-Mex style food (tacos, burritos, fajitas) and have a full service bar with live music. We dined there one night with takeout. The food was average or above. The service was quick (15-20 minutes, plenty of time to leisurely walk down the beach from my hotel room). We also visited a different resort restaurant for a high end meal- food quality was exceptional and service was efficient and fast. Overall: Windsong is great for families of all sizes. If you go, remember that tourism is the island's number 1 industry, followed by fishing, and offshore finance. Also, the island is coming off a gap in tourist visits due to the pandemic. Keep this in mind when you note the price of things and the cost of service by hard working staff. They are depending on you and your gratuity for a living. They have families to feed, cars to fill with gas, and bills to pay just like all of us.

I wish I could give this resort 10 stars! It is an absolutely fantastic resort and service! I cannot speak highly enough about this resort: the grounds, location, room, restaurant, pools and staff were all fantastic. Every person who worked this was so friendly and helpful. They were always working to ensure that the property was impeccably clean. Every staff member acknowledged you and were super friendly and appreciative. The pool chairs always had fresh towels which was so appreciated. The reef out front is awesome! The resort offers bikes, Hobie cats, paddle boards and floats included. I do not have one negative about this resort and we were so satisfied that we will definitely be returning.

We had reservations for June 18-25. Our flights from Atlanta to Turks was canceled due to an airport strike in the Turks. We could not get a flight for a few days which made our reservation a “no show”. When I called to explain, the reservation manager told me it was not their problem and that they would only refund 30% of our reservation. When I explained that there was nothing we could do she refused to refund us and we lost over 3000 dollars. I will NEVER stay at this property. The lack of understanding and empathy was unbelievable.

We booked a 1 bedroom bungalow, it had a private patio with bbq, seating and a gas fire pit. There were 2 full bathrooms, both beautifully equipped. The bedroom had a nice king size bed, robes and slippers to use. The kitchen was well equipped with small bar seating. There was a great living room and dining room open area. Washer dryer combo also. This was beyond what I expected. There is a semi private pool for the bungalows, we had it completely to ourselves for 3 days then had a couple people in the other bungalows but only ever had time where we shared the pool. The main pool is great, small hot tub, small tanning ledge for little kiddies to small about. If you eat breakfast there (included) go to the umbrella and tables on the beach, nice views and service there, we had RJ as our server and he was fantastic. The included breakfast was nice, coffe or tea, pick a juice and then some options like oatmeal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bagel, cereal or English muffin to choose from. We didn’t eat at the restaurant for any other meals, we went into town and tried some local eats. All the staff is pleasant and helpful. If you want to book any trips or have any questions, Khalid (butler) was fantastic, he steered you to good companies to use and set it all up for you. Made all the calls you needed. I found them to be the same price or a bit cheaper than booking through Expedia, etc. The hammocks are awesome and there are a ton of beach loungers available, also many with sun coverage if needed. The snorkeling right out front was a good as down at Smiths Reef. There is snorkel gear to use, paddle boards, tons of water stuff included. The gym was also well equipped if you feel the need to exercise on vacation. Beautiful soft sand beach, you can walk forever. Overall a great resort, I would come back in a heartbeat.

This was our 4th and last time here. Twice it was just me and my husband. The last 2 times was with family and kids. The first three times I requested and received the same oceanfront, 2 bedroom. Our last visit, 1 ocean front 2 bedroom and one 1 bedroom, oceanfront suit. Booked a yr in advance and requested same rooms…..got there, sorry we put you in other rooms. Rooms needed some up-grading for sure. When I booked, I requested the food plan for 6 people, I was told I could pay as it got closer to our stay or upon arrival. Two weeks before we were to arrive I was told they no longer offered a food plan, I was told to read the small print. Snorkeling was fantastic. Staff didn’t even try to keep the sand even with the stairs for easy access to the beach for older folks. The food was less than stellar. Not as much the preparation rather the quality of the product. Sorry to say, time to move on.

We understand that you may have thought that specific room location requests are guaranteed based on Windsong’s ability to accommodate your three prior requests. We are sincerely sorry for your disappointment. Like most hotels and resorts, Windsong cannot guarantee specific room locations as rooms are assigned on the day of arrival based on availability of a specific room location for the total number of nights needed by a guest. If it is possible to grant a special request, we do grant it. We understand how this disappointment at check-in combined with the inclusive plan being discontinued in February may have influenced your stay. Our rooms are being refurbished throughout 2023 and we hope you will stay with us again in the future. It has been a pleasure hosting you as part of our Windsong family.

Pros: - Fantastic staff - Big, big rooms - strategically situated around the center of the island - Beautiful hotel with late night access to the pools, beach, etc. Cons: - The included continental breakfast is literally only a choice of 3 things amongst a luxurious selection of: oatmeal, flavored yogurt, fruits, a bagel and a breakfast muffin. It’s soooooo underwhelming and clearly a scam to get you to purchase add-ons. - Food in general at this establishment was extremely underwhelming, tried it twice and both times felt like it was a total ripoff. - WiFi was very, very unreliable. Random blackout periods of 10 mins or so constantly, which made working and attending zoom meetings impossible. - There was construction going on in a nearby building without warning and for 3 STRAIGHT DAYS. Got a call from the concierge on the 3rd day telling us “by the way there will be construction” lol… no warning, no compensation of any sort and, again, it prevented me from getting work done!! - Housekeeping was great but never at the same time. Sometimes it’s 11:00 AM, sometimes it’s 4:00 PM, and every time housekeeping was finished, we’d get a surprise visitor after an hour or so with some bathroom floor towels. This person would come after housekeeping every time - why not just provide those damn towels during housekeeping!! Cute hotel and friendly staff but we would not consider returning here whatsoever.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your stay at Windsong. We appreciate your compliments and your concerns. First, thank you for your exuberant praise of our helpful and friendly staff, our spacious suites, outstanding location on Grace Bay beach and a snorkeling reef, and our lushly landscaped grounds and thoughtfully designed buildings. It appears that your expectation of breakfast was different that what Windsong includes with a room reservation. Perhaps you booked through a third party and weren't aware of our included continental breakfast--as detailed on our website in our breakfast menu. It has the description of our included Continental breakfast menu items and optional add ons. We are sorry your expectation created disappointment regarding breakfast. Regarding food in general, as an island destination, the duty and shipping costs adds to our food cost, so unfortunately, menu items cost more than on the U.S. mainland. As for the wifi, Windsong has excellent wifi because we have two options -- regular wifi and wifi streaming. Our butlers explain this to guests upon arrival and tell guests that in order to always have the best signal, they must switch their wifi to the "room wifi" if they have left the beach or restaurant where they logged into that wifi. Our front desk could have helped you know this for your Zoom calls; we are sorry you didn't know. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by intermittent construction noise coming from the east side of the public access that is adjacent to Windsong. Thank you for sharing your concerns; we have discussed them with our team. We do hope that you will visit Turks and Caicos again in the future.

Let me start by saying I didn't want to go home! I love the boutique hotel vibe and cannot wait to visit again. When you arrive you're greeted with a rum punch to let you know it's time to get your vacay started! First, my room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It goes without saying the beach is amazing. Feels like swimming in an aquarium since the reef is right there. Staff was also excellent and we enjoyed chatting and getting to know them. I'd like to recognize Jonine and RJ (breakfast), Pejoe (the best happy hours), and the beach gentlemen who always had our chairs for us. I def recommend renting a car and eating at the very good restaurants on the island (Da Conch Shack was my fav). TCI is truly a special place and I cannot wait to go back!

We chose Wingsong because of the location and the fact it was a boutique resort. Little did we know, that the resort was perfectly placed for exploration of the Island. We had four couples, so the four bedroom penthouse was an obvious choice...but WOW...was it amazing. The views from the gathering room were utterly stunning...postcard material...not to mention the roof top which was included. That view is something out of dreams. The resort staff were friendly and very helpful suggesting places to eat and where to experience the "local" flare (don't miss the "Fish Fry"). Overall the resort was "Easy"...easy check in,,,easy to get comfortable...easy to love...and so easy to recommend. thanks for helping us build memories for a lifetime.

Your enthusiasm and joy is contagious! We know the penthouse is exceptional, but sometimes take for granted -- the "wow" factor you mentioned in your very gracious review. Thank you for sharing with future travelers that the penthouse views are "stunning" and "something out of dreams." Others feel the same way as our penthouse has been fortunate to win "Turks and Caicos Leading Hotel Suite" many times, including this year, in the World Travel Awards. Thank you for also recognizing our staff and amenities. We're here for you and your friends next time you visit Providenciales -- hopefully soon.

This place is great! What makes it stand out the most is the service with a smile attitude! Our one bedroom bungalow was well appointed and cleaned daily. We only stayed 4 nights so we didn’t use the kitchen but it has everything you would need to cook a meal. Cocktails and food were great and the beach chair service was prompt. We did go to the spa for a massage and it was top notch. Price was good too. First time to Turks….we will be back!
