This is an awesome hotel! The people are great, the "rooms" (practically a townhome) are huge and clean, and the idyllic small setting in the courtyard can't be beat. You just need to know that the beach situation is a little less than you'd get at a resort, but you'll save a lot and have a great basecamp for exploring the main island! We loved every minute of this place!
We stayed for six nights at Grace Bay Place, the next building over from Island Club Turks and owned by the same family. (I could not find an entry for Grace Bay Place, which I believe is rather new). We had everything we needed within the house or within a short walk. The owner, Debbie was great and called a taxi for us and gave us advice several times. We had a two BR unit with a Q over Q bunk and full bathroom with tub and shower on the second floor and a queen bedroom with full bathroom (shower only) and washer dryer, plus a living room, dining room, screen porch, and fully stocked kitchen with blender, toaster, electric tea kettle and plenty of cups, plates and silverware for both adults and kids (plastic ware). The Wi-Fi was good in the unit, but very strong around the pool area. When my husband needed to Zoom for work, the pool side worked very well. This was great because we found the cellular service on the island spotty. The beds were comfortable and everything was super clean and in great working order. The AC in each room was controlled by a remote and all worked well. There was not a dishwasher, but the owner provides dish detergent, etc as well as extra garbage bags, soap, and tons of beach and bath towels. We brought our own beach and pool toys, but there were also some left behind by other guests that are sitting along the front of the building, and we left some of our things behind as well. The pool was spacious, hardly used, and very clean. There were many different seating areas and a large BBQ grill. Our townhouse also had its own grill, but we did not use it. The walk to the beach was a flat and safe two blocks. We brought a collapsible wagon and were glad we did so we could both cart our stuff back and forth easily and also so we could walk to the grocery store and easily carry heavy items back home. The grocery is about a fifteen minute walk at a leisurely pace with the wagon and kids, and there are restaurants, shopping and ice cream along the way. We brought silver bubble wrap “bags” with us from the USA and our items were still cold by the time we brought them back, even in the afternoon. The beach has ample chairs marked for the rental units and were very comfortable and in great condition. The portion of the beach we were on was deep enough not to be bothered by passers-by, but not as deep as the “busy” part near the Ritz and other big resorts, so you can easily watch the kids swimming while relaxing, something that would be near impossible at the wide sections. You honestly cannot go wrong with Grace Bay Place! We are already planning a visit later this year and are bringing my parents.…
the staff here treat you like family it is best hotel experiences you will ever have they are very very nice people there i just got back from there and i cant wait to go back . you feel very safe there shout out to the lovely office staff
My Stay in Turks and Caicos at Island Club Turks Grace Bay In my search for a place to stay in Turks and Caicos, I reviewed many options, I checked amenities, websites, location, safety and customer reviews. The Island Club Turks ranked high in all areas checked. The reviews spoke highly regarding the service they received, which is a big plus for me and one of the main reason I chose Island Club Turks Grace Bay over other locations. After booking, I receive an email asking if I had any questions or concerns, I had several (1st time on TCI) and I received a prompt response every time an email was sent, I took this as a good sign. Prior to arriving in Turks and Caicos, airport transfer arrangements were made with K’s Taxi and Tours, an Island Club Turks Grace Bay recommendation($11 per person). Kalvin, the driver was wonderful, personable and safe. He made himself available to us throughout our stay, he felt like a friend from the moment my friends and I met him. Kalvin called Island Club Turks Bay as we approached the property, letting them know we would be there shortly. Upon our arrival, the outer appearance of Island Club Turks Grace Bay was deceiving, you really couldn’t tell the gem it was from the outside. When I went into the office, I was greeted by “Love” her kind and inviting demeanor, was very welcoming. “Love” took us to our deluxe two bedroom apartment, it definitely nice for the price (2 floors, small front balcony facing Grace Bay Rd, Master Bedroom balcony facing pool, 1.5 bathrooms, WI-FI, full kitchen, utensils, furnished patio with grill…etc). The deluxe units are clean but a little dated, supreme units are updated and eventually all units will be. I also was informed Island Club Turks, Grace Bay is expanding to a property next door, and will have more units available. Island Club Turks, Grace Bay is perfectly located on Grace Bay Rd, close to the beach, coffee shops, great restaurants, grocery store, ice cream shops, souvenir shops and a casino, that area all within a safe 5-10 minute walk. Most importantly, the customer service at Island Club Turks, Grace Bay was absolutely wonderful, from our arrival to my departure, we felt welcomed, like we were a guest in someone’s home. On a daily basis, we always received a warm greeting from the staff. Anna, Love, Keke, also checked to make sure we had whatever we needed and provided information and area directions when needed. Scott who I believe is doing the upgrades on both properties was recruited by another staff member to inflate my large floating peacock and although it was never actually inflated, it definitely wasn’t because of his lack of trying. We throughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Island Club Turks, Grace Bay. However, in our preparation to return back to Chicago I received news that I tested positive for Covid and had to stay, my friends were negative and able to leave. In total disbelief, anxiety high I reached out to the Island Club Turks staff, their understanding and concern for my well being was awesome. Even though I had to quarantine, I never felt alone. Anna checked on me daily via the Whatsup App, dropped lunch off on the patio and even went to the grocery store for a few items. I will forever be grateful for Anna’s kindness, it was truly above and beyond. I also must state, whenever I sat out on my balcony, the Island Club Turks staff would always greet me with a smile and ask how I was doing, I felt like they all genuinely cared. In conclusion, as a seasoned traveler I’m definitely a fan of the Island Club Turks, Grace Bay. The location, accommodations cleanliness and size, on site security and most importantly the customer service has made me the Island Club Turks biggest fan, my expectations were definitely exceeded.…
This really is a very good place to stay with friendly owners and staff. The guy who tends the gardens is worthy of special mention as he is so happy and a delight to see every day. In addition, his work in maintaining the grounds is outstanding. We stayed in a 2 bed villa which offers space and the amenities you require. This leg of the site is due a refurbishment but was still fine for what needed. Island Club is positioned perfectly near shops and restaurants and the fantastic Grace Bay beach so you could survive without a car. However, to see more, I would get a rental. Would I come to this place again - without a doubt!!
Can’t say enough about this place from the location which is near everything you would possibly need to the fantastic owners who could not be more accommodating. Great for families Walk a block to the beach or restaurants/bars. Book it and laugh at everyone that overpaid for their stays at nearby resorts
This was my first trip to Turks and Caicos, but my boyfriend comes once a month as a corporate pilot. The hotel is very “ Caribbean”. Lots of vegetation ! The rooms we had and not sure they are all like this but our two were 2 story, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, full kitchen, living room, patio with grill and upstairs balcony, table and chairs off one of the bedrooms. It’s walking distance to the beach, and restaurants, bars, shopping. Very reasonably priced, clean, very comfortable. Joe and Debbie were awesome! Kind, fun, helpful and professional!!!!!!! My boyfriend and his co-pilot have decided to use this as their “ go to “ place on future trips to Turks and Caicos!!!!!!
It’s a great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions. It’s a 5 minute walk to Grace Bay and very close to shopping. It was very quiet while we were there and very clean. Thanks Joe! (And Calvin our cab driver)!
Owner was so helpful and nice! He provided a cooler and umbrella for beach use and told us how to get there- only a 5 minute walk. The unit we were in was great, and so was the pool. Couldn’t ask for a better, affordable place- walking distance to restaurants and shops too.
I could write a VERY LONG review singing the praise of Island Turks Club, but I will try to be brief. First, if you have never stepped foot onto Grace Bay (or been to TCI), you will quickly realize that it is, indeed, one of the nicest beaches in the entire world. I would concur and also say there is no better, more beautiful beach in all the Caribbean. It gets ranking one of the top ten beaches in the world, and that is no lie. We went to TCI over Easter break with our 2 high school aged daughters. Realize all the Covid travel protocols are an inconvenience at the moment, it really isn't as difficult as it seems. We arrived on our flight from CLT an hour early because of a strong tailwind. That was plus! Immigration was a breeze. We rented a car from Hertz (DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ) that was the only BAD DECISION I had all week. Grace Bay Car Rental is a much better option. By the time we actually was in our rental and driving to Island Club, it was a two hour negotiation with the HERTZ folks (booked and paid ahead of time, so why it had to be difficult is beyond me). Simple to solve next time, don't rent from Hertz. We arrived at Island Club and was quickly met by Joe, the owner. He showed us the condo, and spent over an hour getting us acclimated to the island, grocery stores, restaurants, activities and provided a ton of great information, all of which we used and he was spot on 100%! Joe also provided us with portable beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, fins for snorkeling etc. in the case we wanted to venture to other beaches throughout the week. That was super helpful! Island Club is newly renovated, very clean, and ideally located. A short walk (5 mins) to their lounge chairs located on Grace Bay beach. You are also within walking distance to groceries, and many restaurants and shopping, so if you don't have a rental car, you really don't need one, given the properties central location. Joe and his wife Debbie are wonderful hosts and are extremely nice and professional and checked in on us from time to time to see how are stay was going. You simply don't get that sort of treatment at a large (and more expensive) resort. This is a family owned operation, and they are hands-on and take pride in what they have built, as they should, because the place is GREAT! If you are looking for an all-inclusive resort, or want a full-service resort that will have someone bring you umbrella drinks to you on the beach, look elsewhere. But if you want a super clean, super convenient, family friendly location that is a wonderful balance of value and convenience, look no further, you have found your spot. I can't recommend Island Club and Debbie, Joe and their entire staff enough! There pool and outdoor area is also very clean and well kept. Everything about our 9 days was great! We look forward to coming back soon and seeing even more of the island, and staying with Joe and Debbie. Thank you for all you did to make our holiday memorable!…
