Pat runs a simple and fun guesthouse. I had an amzing 2 weeks there that was only supposed to be 3 days. The vibes are always good and the mix of guests and local friends coming to socialise makes for a really beautiful stay. Some of the funniest and funnest times in the Philippines so far. Understand that this is not a spick and span hotel it is his home too and also becomes the home of us, so some belongings are hanging around. However beds are always clean and bathrooms too. For the price of a private room and the location and the vibes I would recommend it to anyone. Unless you go to bed early and don't want music and beers with mates until 11pm on some nights. Pat is always there to help and tries his best to make a pleasent stay for everyone. Cheers for all! Will see you again!

Lets be clear, if you are looking for something fanzy or with nice commodities you should pay more than 600php per night for two on a private room.
The place is, simple, humble but 100 % nice to sleep. Sometimes energy get lost (as everywhere in coron) but patrick and tezz have a generator. We spend there amazing 4 nights. Even if sometimes people make some noise and I was diving on morning everything was really nice. Patrick is ALWAYS there to try to improve the place and if you have an issue just go a speak with him straight (instead of not saying anything and write a bad comment in TA).

I really enjoyed the time spent there and hope to come back soon !

Thank you for the hospitality Patrick and Tezz !

Our trip will never so perfect without us at Patrik and Tezz' Guesthouse. They are so accommodating and so helpful. Eliza is also the best; she's so friendly, kind and caring- like a real friend. Also, they're a message away if we need to ask for anything.

The location is perfect! We don't need to take a ride to bars, restaurants and the market!

What's more amazing is that we had a real good sleep every night because our room is quiet and comfortable.

I will recommend this place to my friends and family.

600p/night in a twin bedroom for 2pax with a hangout area and a small pool, say no more.
Beautiful hosts and value for money!

Could be noisy from the neighbors in the mornings but evenings and nighs are so quiet :)

Keep up the good work

Booked this place based on the many 5 star reviews, but I am not sure how the guesthouse has actually deserved such a high rating. While the place location is good, and the WiFi was really awesome in the room (best we had in Palawan), I think the place could be improved due to lack of basic amenities:
-no toilet roll in the shared toilet, and if there, always totally wet, therefore useless;
- Shared toilet always super wet (water everywhere) including the toilet seat and not well cleaned (pieces of old soap or shampoo plastic bags in the sink);
- No hot water whatsoever.
- Lots of ants in the room (not on the bed where we slept though).
These were the main things that we noted and made us leave one night earlier (we really wanted a hot shower!). Walls are extremely thin so you can hear every word of the neighbors, but rooms were ok, nice simple style.

Although the place is very cheap, we had a couple of friends that with 5£ more per person per night were staying in a proper hotel with their own toilet and breakfast included.

Finally, we read so many reviews about the owners Patrick and Tezz but unluckily we never met them once, I m sure the stay would have been nicer and maybe we would have understood better the concept of the guesthouse. Anyway the philipino guy who is always around, I think his name is "Dong", was very sweet.

However, I would not come again.

Hi and thanx for sharing your experience.

We don't provide toilet paper since there are no sewage in Coron, everything goes out either in the ground or as in our case in the water. Cant do anything about that, its sad :(
Thats why I don't provide toilet paper because I don't want to contribute that paper gets flushed out in the sea. I provide soap and a bide sprayer, use your hands its so much fresher ;)

Ants, what can I say.... The house is built by native materials and some guests are bringing snacks and food into the rooms and then just leave it there over night or over the day. 1 + 1 is 2...

Wet toilet, it gets cleaned several times a day for sure. Some guests likes to splash water exactly everywhere while showering or whatever they do inside the bathroom. Sorry for some soap or shampoo sachets that someone left in the sink. Really not my fault when guests doesn't know where to throw used stuff.

Interesting when you mention your friends staying at another place at 5£/night = 350p. Of course you get your private bath inside your room at another place at 1000p/night including a breakfast (2 slices sweet bread and jam, 3 in 1 coffee)

Regarding the hot water showers, I was in between 2 choices. Either increase the room rates or remove the shower heaters. So I removed the shower heaters instead.

I was in Manila for a week to sort other things out but I will assure you that everything would be exactly the same since its my "concept".
Not easy to please everyone and yeah, chose another place next time and pay more ;)

Nice to hear that Dondon did a good job, I will forward it to him.

Rgs
Patrik
