I went there with my husband and 3 years old baby, the staffs are friendly, respect and good service. The restaurant is very clean, food is good, i cannot forget the breakfast smoothie bowl that was the best. There also swiming pool. This place is friendly for kids, where they can play sands around, and very fresh of flowers plants. The room is very clean and complete make me feeling like my own housw. There was hair dryer, big water for drink in the room. Three kind of towel, teapot, coffee&tea. Bed is very comfortable, free extra bed and extra breakfast for my little boy. It's a quite place, close to the beach where its the shop and restaurants there. Last day i met the owner who is very friendly lady, she has a cute baby. This place is very recomended.
Some adjectives that you can feel in this wonderful place: Quite, relax, peaceful, ecologic. Nice place to enjoy in Gili Trawangan. Very clean and different concept of room in luxury tent of camp. Delicious breakfast. And you have a bicycle and a glasses to snorkel included.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time at La Cocoteraie lodge. The staff were wonderful and would drop everything to assist you. Room was comfortable and clean... (pillows are to die for!).
Warm showers, AC and fresh water in your room, not much more I could have asked for.
The food wasn’t spectacular if I’m honest, but that’s not what I came here for. I wanted to be away from the crowds and that’s exactly what I got.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
My friends and I had nothing but an extremely positive experience at La Cocoteraie Ecolodge. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely, smiling staff who offered to take our bags to our tents, whilst we relaxed in the restaurant with a complimentary iced tea. The tents were very spacious, with one Queen and one King Single sized bed in each room. The bathrooms are also lovely and big, with enough privacy from the bedroom. The staff are incredible, and my friends and I would love to make special mention of Eko, who made our stay even more enjoyable and easy. We found out that the fast boats back to Bali would not be running due to bad weather, and were panicked as we had no further information. Eko called numerous different boat companies to find out what was going on, and ensured that all 5 of my friends and I could get back to Bali in time to make our flights home. He was extremely hospitable, and even offered to take each of our suitcases to our next accomodation halfway across the island on his bicycle. When my friend became unwell from heatstroke, Eko did the most to help her, constantly bringing her iced water and ensuring she felt okay. The restaurant also makes delicious food for a reasonable price. Thanks Eko and La Cocoteraie, we will all be back soon!
The staff are very friendly and the property is cool. The tents, with their “outdoorish” bathrooms reminded me of the magical Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. I had no problem with the hot water and though the AC wasn’t really affective, I didn’t spend much time in the tent. The fan provided was enough to keep it cool during the night and the beaches on that side of Gili T were less busy and home to beautiful sunsets.
It is off the beaten path, but that is part of it’s charm. As I’ve been traveling solo, it was a bit tough to bike to the other side of the island for the night life. I feel it is more suitable for couples (romantic or friends).
The accommodations were super rad for those types of people that like camping, because you will experience some insects from mosquitos to spiders.
Unfortunately, my bed had bed bugs. I feel this was an isolated incident, as the tents are not connected and the staff made sure to give me another room to sleep in, but I opted to move accommodations the next day for peace of mind.
The owner herself came and apologized. They set out to remedy the problem right away and offered to take care of laundrying all my belongings (including my backpack).
I would give this place another chance for sure.
