The team at the dinner offered us an empty hangar to sit and have our meal. A lifeless room with no people in it. Of course we did not take it and have another chance in the room where all the other guests were. The answer and the discussion was short:
Oh we are sorry, we can not put together two tables as so many people comes from rooms with two.
I guess they are more important than us. So, we were on our holiday, sitting at two tables, meanwhile this room itself was as well half empty. Further on, funny, the lady with whom I had the discussion before and had seen the situation treated us as two separate family. Annoying.

Dear dr. Korcsik József, Thank you for copying your previously posted review to Tripadvisor as well. Please allow me to do the same with our response: We are really sorry to hear that our hangar was empty upon your arrival, we had to send out our plane on a special mission to find and locate some empathy towards hospitality workers. As our restaurant staff was getting ready to welcome our dinner guests they directed you to a table fit to accomodate you and your family. As you disliked that option they asked your kind patience for a couple of minutes until an other table of four is becoming available, but your preferred option was to sit to two separate tables. For the next morning our colleagues made sure to reserve a table of four just for you (so, we did not let the more important guests to sit there). Üdvözlettel, Török Péter

Bonvino is a family friendly Hotel right in the center of Badacsony. We received a cot on request and the restaurant had high chairs available. There is also cutlery for the kids and a dedicated play area for the children. The pool in the spa has a separated area with knee-deep water for the little ones. During our stay the sauna was in maintenance. What a pity! We were happy with the breakfast buffet: an abundance of bakery products, home-made jams, cold cuts, cheese some hot items (Vienna sausage, and omelet). I missed some healthier options such as porridge, muesli and nuts. The fruit basket was very small and the items in it were not appetizing. Dinner buffet was okay, the starters had quite a lot of imagination: salads, spreads, finger food. The mains were a bit boring and pork was in excess. In fact no goose was offered on Saint Martin’s Day at all. Rooms are ok, albeit a bit small for an energetic toddler. We heard a constant whirring / buzzing sound during the night. Perhaps it came for some heating pipes, or the A/C in the neighboring room was running all night. The staff was very friendly in all areas of the hotel.

We went for a long weekend and we have booked, based on description and photos from their web site, a luxury room. The so called “luxury” rooms are described as more spacious than the standard rooms, are suitable for 3 adults or two adults plus two children (by adding extra beds), the picture of the room shows a nice modern style room, a bit better/nicer than what they advertise as “standard modern” room. Obviously the price is higher as well.
When we opened the door of the room, we were shocked by we were seeing! The room was a small, no extra space as advertised, it was furnished just like their standard “rustic” rooms are shown in the picture on their web site. In fact, it matched exactly the so called “standard rustic” room. The only difference between that room and the pictures of “standard rustic” rooms was that instead of a shower there was a bathtub. The tub was so narrow that was almost unusable and beside that there was a shelf instated just above the tube, making the usable space even less. There was no glass wall or at least a shower curtain protecting the bathroom being flooded during a shower. The quality of everything in the room was below expectation, was not modern, not rustic, was just simply undemanding. Let the attached pictures talk…

They confirmed the reservation of “luxury” room, they did not mention that the room will not be even comparable with the one on the picture and description. After getting this room, we have kindly asked the reception to get a proper room. The receptionist told that we got exactly what we have reserved: a luxury room. He also told us that he is not entitled to accept and resolve this type of complains but next morning the director will be there and we can make the complain to him. Next day, all day we were expecting to meet the director and explain him the situation but he did not show up. In the evening we got a letter explaining that we got exactly what we have reserved and there is no hotel where the pictures of the rooms do exactly match the actual rooms. The style could be different but because is that it has a bathtub instead a shower it is a luxury room! It is also true that exceptionally, as compensation for the inconvenience, he offered that we could pay the room as a standard room not as luxury room.

Dear Zs. Fülöp, At first we were stunned. You were our first (and only) guest during our 7 operating years who wanted to reclassify our room categories. But this is hospitality industry so we tried to accommodate your "issue" (namely: that there can be different room designs even within the same category): As we were fully booked we could not change your room. Instead, you were offered to pay a lower fee for your room, you were offered a dinner invitation to our restaurant and when the next day you decided to leave we did not charge you for your reservation. All this just to make you happy. We are glad that your disappointment did not stop you from accepting all these gestures. Just to make sure everybody understand: all this is because your room decoration was different from what you have seen in a picture... To rectify your false description, luxury rooms have a large terrace, a spacious room space and the best location within the hotel (yours even had a bath!). We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Bonvino. We appreciated the architecture - the hotel does not spoil the atmosphere of this region, although modern, it has the details connected with the traditions of the region. The room was nice, spacious enough, with a big, comfortable balcony. We liked the details that reflect Hungarian culture. The food ( we had a half-board) was really tasty, there was a wide choice of meals in the buffet. We have just two small objections - noisy air conditioning at nights and the communication skills of the restaurant staff - only few of them speak at least basic English.
