I can't say enough about this place. It's a true Bed & Breakfast, right down the the small & helpful staff. It's clear that this place is loved and cared for. Beautiful setting for a tropical and completely relaxing vacation off the beaten path, yet close to the Quarter. The courtyard with pool, hot tub and bar area are lushly landscaped and very well kept with a pond, fountains and several places to sit with a group or by yourself in peace. Each room is uniquely decorated with old world charm and the beds are VERY comfortable. Continental breakfast is just enough to start your day right with fresh fruit, hot & cold cereals, yogurt and all the right "mix-in's", toast, bagels & excellent coffee. If you prefer something a bit more stick to your ribs later, there is an excellent breakfast place literally steps away that offers a $1 cupcake with any entree purchase. This place is an oasis for the weary traveler or people who can truly appreciate all the love and care it takes to run a such a wonderful place. I will return again and again! Much love and gratitude to Ed, Ben & Jackie. ~Scooter~
This was a gem. Was recommended by a friend of a friend. I am so glad I stayed there for 3 nights. Ed the owner is so kind. Room was great. Wonderful location.
Breakfast was okay but there is a fabulous bakery across the street.
The pool is wonderful and I swam twice. The garden is gorgeous.
We stayed in bedroom C. The lobby was decorated nicely and the pool and hot tub were nice. The stairs to the rooms were steep so it would not be handicapped accessible but this was not an issue for us. The hallway was hot but inside the rooms, the air conditioning was AMAZING. The host helped carry our bags to our room and was very kind and informative! He also gave us a map to help us around town. For the location, service, place and price I definitely recommend this B&B!
We stayed a week in this quaint hotel just blocks from the French quarter. The yard had a roofed meeting area with hot tub, pool and garden with colorful plants and trees. It was peaceful with a formal eating area for breakfast and a house full of antiques. Ed, the host and owner was friendly and helpful. We were there just before Mardi Grad and you could step out on the street and periodically see bands and revelers marching by.
This is one of the most serene B&B’s I have ever visited. It is well appointed, neat and serene. The quiet, the gardens, the pool enhance the experience. I could live here. The continental breakfast is varied and the food fresh. The owner is kind and generous with his time. I have finally found a New Orleans B&B to which I will return.
