1. The lodge actually closes after September and all of the Amenities close with it. They actually put you in a motel style set up next to the property. I’m fact, you are not even allowed to go near the property you thought you were staying at as it is covered in no respawning signs and has a guard dog to keep people away.
2. The “cabins” they put you in are small and cheap. There is a reason they have zero pictures of them on the website. It is a small cabin they have divided up into 4 single units so you have three other units touching yours with thin walls.
3. It is ridiculously overpriced, places in town are much nicer and are half the price. You can also walk to do things from hotels in town. There is literally nothing to do here once the lodge closes and restaurants/bars are not in walking distance. Seriously, it felt straight up depressing to be there.
4. They will charge you extra for a room with a view….it’s a ground level parking lot that allows everyone to stare at you while you are in bed.
As others have experienced, when we booked during the summer time there was zero indication we would not actually be staying at the lodge. We even got an email outlining all of the amenities for us to enjoy during our stay. It was only two days before we arrived that they called and let us know everything was closed and that we were not actually allowed on the property. So those great reviews that mention the views? Yeah, you won’t be seeing those. Instead the view we paid extra for was a parking lot, which meant we had to keep the blinds closed all the time to get some measure of privacy.
Of course, we were only informed of this after it was too late to cancel.
We were booked to stay two nights, only stayed one night and then booked a place in town to stay the other night even though we couldn’t get a refund due to how much of a nicer experience they offer compared to the “winter bungalows”

The views are fantastic. The wedding we went to was the most gorgeous wedding we've ever been too based solely on the views at Nuptial Knoll. The food was amazing! The beds were comfortable enough. We felt the room was too cramped. The angle of the oversized-for- the-space shower head made it difficult to actually clean oneself in the shower. And the lack of hooks that didn't force you block the exit with hanging clothes created a legitimate fire hazzard. The rooms were way chilly, but there is a small heater. Removing the dresser at the foot of the bed, installing hooks behind the table, and putting in a smaller shower headb that could be aimed down rather than over the shoulder would have all greatly improved our experience. BUT THOSE VIEWS!! The parking spot adjacent to our cabin had incredible views. The should build wrap around decks on the cabin to take advantage of those amazing views!

The rooms were so small, literally no room to move around. We had the queen half cabin for two people. Parking was a complete disaster. All the cabins are so close together that you have to back up and pull forward a hundred times just to park or leave. The front desk lady was super nice but she’s definitely the best part of grand lake. Everything in the city closes by 6pm, even restaurants! So good luck on going to eat. Everything is extremely overpriced. We paid $18 for a burger and fries that was nothing special. The residents in the city make it known that they hate tourists. 10/10 will not ever be back.

The Lodge is fun and has a rustic feel with modern accommodations. Food and service at the restaurant were terrific. Our cabin was one of the Sears Roebuck Catalog cabins. The room was small but nicely appointed. Great views of the lakes and good location just outside of the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park.

sorry.... i don't remember... but it wasn't a problem... call for the manager... i'm guessing open to both spaces by hallway to bedroom
