This is a very nice and small guest house owned and run with German sense of responsibility and quality by Katrin. This means that the place is spotless and the service is at its best!
Katrin, the owner, and her family live downstair and are always ready to help. I was picked up at the airport by the cab that Katrin has arranged for me and greeted with a glass of chilled white wine by her upon my arrival.
The view from the deck is just spectacular! I spent quite some time on that deck enjoying the breath taking views of the Table Mountain, the Devils Peak, the city bowl and the Bo Caap itself. Bo Caap is a very colorful and vibrant area with small houses painted in different vibrant colors making your every picture - well, picture perfect! ;) The guest house is located approximately 10 min walk (longer on your way up!) from the Long Street (a place to be/see for the tourists) and bus stops and approximately 45 min stroll down to the Victoria and Alberts Waterfront.
There is a small swimming pool at the guest house, laundry service, you can ask Katrin for a wi-fi connection, and breakfast is self catering and consisted of fresh fruits, muesli, cornflakes, yoghurt, milk, muffins, bread rolls, coffee, tea and juice. If you need something - just ask, Katrin is always ready to help.
My room was very nice and clean, with a big comfortable bed, table, a couple of chairs and a closet for my things/clothes. The bathroom was also very clean and towels and soap were provided and changed every day.
Bo Caap is an area with a lot of mosques so I woke up from the minarets a couple of times during the first night, but didn't register it after that during my two weeks of stay.
And did I mention the absolutely fantastic views? :)
Will stay there again!

We think the Upperbloem Guesthouse was a fantastic place to stay in an amazing city...Cape Town! Fantastic views overlooking Table Mountain and a nice pool to relax. Our room was large and spacious. We had them do some laundry for us as we were previously on safari and it came back wonderfully cleaned, pressed, and smelling fantastic.

me and my boyfriend stayed for 4 nights and we highly recommend it. Hotel is only 10-15 min walking to popular street Long Street. It has an amazing views and great swimming pool. They staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definetly go back if we go back to Cape Town. breakfast is also very nice with all kind if stuff. They have a kitchen so you can also buy your own food and have dinner with amazing views.

Katrin and partner run a b&b in Bo kaap which is a vibrant historical part of cape town. It has uninterrupted views of table mountain and the city. Very clean, quite and a pool! What more could you ask for? We will definitely be returning in future!!

I stayed in a room for two people, it had everything I needed. The pool area was lovely. Location is perfect, close by to basically everything. The neighbourhood is very quiet and it felt safe. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable.
