We (me and my friend) stayed there two night during our Cambodia tour. Everything room, facilities, amenities, decorations, breakfast, bathroom was perfect as we assumed. Kevin and group managed ankor Wat temple sunrise tour for us and also provided breakfast box at morning 4:30.
It was great. Really recommended for everyone.

We stayed in Damrei Angkor Hotel for two days. Location is near to Angkor Wat Temple and not too far to night market and pub street. You can take tuk tuk to get around those places. Hotel room is spacious, good layout and presentation. The hotel staff are friendly, approachable and provide prompt service. We all loved the breakfast served , western and Asian food and the coffee too :) For sure, we will stay in Damrei Angkor Hotel on our next visit to Siem reap again.

+1
It was my first trip ever to Cambodia and naturally I was a bit apprehensive towards my expectations of this visit. The moment I stepped out from the arrival hall, I was greeted with cheerful faces of the driver and the hotel manager who also came to the airport to fetch guests. I think the Manager's name was Breng or Sreng (not sure). He was very friendly, talkative and informative. Upon arrival at the hotel, again was greeted and welcomed by many cheerful, friendly and courteous staff. I was wowed! They are like that throughout my stay, everywhere, and all of them, including the cleaners, waitress and the security guards. It was suprising to find them better than the famous Thai Hospitality.
Room was OK, I love the set-up, especially the separate cubicle for shower and toilet. The light in the shower was dim and there was even a bench in the cubicle. I booked Superior Double Room and was upgraded to a triple room (1 King + 1 Single) instead. Amenities are sufficient, except for ironing facility which you have to request and can only use for short time frame due to insufficient equipment and to be shared with other rooms. There was a balcony in my room, but I never use it as it was facing next door neighbour's building. Rain shower was strong but it took few minutes for the heater to work every single time. The phone in the room cannot access external call. You need to come down to the reception to make calls, which I found a bit odd and my 1st such experience during my travels.
Location is great, within walking distance to marts and eateries. As a Muslim, I only frequent the Halal restaurants, located in the Old City across the river which can be accessed by foot (15mins walk) or by Tuk-tuk (USD2). Tuk-tuk is available all the time in front of the hotel. I only use them for my transportation in Siem Reap, incl to Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap.
On my 3rd day I decided to watch the Smile of Angkor performance and requested the reception to make reservation for me the day before. I didnt hear anything from them until the next day. When I call the reception girl, I was told that she could not contact the performance centre, based on the numbers accessed in the internet. She thought the performance was already discontinued. I told her that I just got the flyers from the group the day before and it was impossible for the performance to be discontinued. So I gave her the numbers on the flyers to call and voila! Reservation made! shouldnt the locals know better?
I requested the hotel to arrange my airport transfer for departure (USD10) at 12.30pm. At 12.00pm the reception called asking when I would be checking-out. Told them to check out at 12.30pm as that was the time for the pick-up. At 12.30pm, went down to reception and was informed they couldnt contact the driver. After few tries, they managed to talk to him and was informed that driver would be 15mins late due to traffic jam (and it was on a Sunday!). Since the airport was just 15-20mins away, i decided to wait. Luckily after 15mins, the car arrived. If not I would have to take the Tuk-tuk to airport instead.
Overall, the stay was great. Breakfast was okay with the typical bread, fruits, porridge, egg, etc.If I return, probably will try other hotel as there so many selections in Siem Reap.

New Hotel, overall comfort and clean room.
Friendly staff, very kind and helpful people. They provide a free-honeymoon-decoration for my sister in law.
Average Location, overall it is a quiet place, and it takes about 20 mins walk to pub street.
