I stayed here for four days initially and extended my stay one night because I was so happy with the town and the hotel. It's the perfect blend of hotel and staying with family. The staff make this hotel amazing, so friendly, helpful and just their English is good. The room itself had a comfortable bed, great shower (hot water and pressure good, as well as a curtain so the whole bathroom didn't get sprayed).
I ate dinner here three nights and they serve good food.
The hotel is about 25 min walk to the "centre" of town, but they have a shuttle that runs often and are pretty helpful should you need anything. Pinky in particular is always at your service.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for Luang Prabang.
We stayed in Luang Prabang for only 3 days but our stay was greatly enhanced by the friendly and flexible service of everyone at the hotel especially by Pinky. We wanted to venture to the night market of course and a bus took us there at our leisure but we did have to get picked up by a specific time of which was no problem and we didn’t feel rush because we chose a time that gave us enough time to enjoy the night market. The breakfast is good, make sure you get the omelet because they are not sitting out and are made fresh for you. The room is spacious enough for two people and the king bed is more than enough and soft and comfortable.
We enjoyed a pleasant two days at this hotel. The room was basci but had everything we needed. The breakfast is very good. The management and staff were efficient and extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. We made good use of the free shuttle service from the airport and to the town centre.
We booked this hotel on a budget and this was definitely value for money.
When we arrived via the free shuttle they provide, we were instantly greeted by Pinky who was very helpful right from the beginning. Pinky's English is fantastic.
The hotel offers breakfast and even has bicycles free to use for guests. If you don't want to cycle you can take their free shuttle into town.
The hotel is about a 30/40 minute walk from the town centre, but very easy to cycle as it's just down one road!
Our room was quite old fashioned, but that added to the charm. It was very clean and the bed was very comfy. Aircon, fan, safe, hairdryer, kettle and fridge are all provided (as well as the usual toiletries and towels). TV is very old but that didn't matter to us as we didn't watch it anyway.
There's some lovely areas to sit outside the bedroom too.
The staff were the highlight for me and my boyfriend. They made our stay in Luang Prabang warm and easy. They even helped us book an excursion to Kuang Si Falls and the bus picked us up from the hotel.
The breakfast is plentiful and yummy. They can do you a noodle soup for dinner but not much else. When we arrived we hadn't had dinner yet and it was getting late. We asked if dinner was available and Pinky went above and beyond in going out to buy us a noodle soup as their kitchen was already closed... at no extra cost (dinner was only 25000 kip!). They didn't have to do this for us, but were just so helpful.
Couldn't reccomend this hotel more. I'm only sad we had to go!
This was a great hotel that I stayed at during Chinese New Year break. The room was spacious, clean and overall great value! Moreover, the hotel manager Pinky was delightful and went well out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay :) I highly recommend staying at VSV hotel!
