Not a 5 star hotel, at best 1 star. Hotel ambience and lightings are terrible. Lobby is low class and cold. No amenities in room. Bathroom is terrible layout with terrible florescent lightings. Gym and spa is run down, broken tiles, looks and feels dirty. This hotel needs total renovation with interior design consultation

The room is weird... The tv is right in front of the toilet door .... It is not worth of the premium price they charge.... The good thing is only the location.... Nothing more than that... The building exterior is somewhat artistic but I will not call it 5 star

Room was clean, but I was supprised when I tried to put the hot water out of bath tab, water was brown. And I could not switch on TV in my room neither. Also there was safety system in the elevater, the room card key is needed to push the floor button, but many times my card key did not work, then hotel staff said it happens many time when card key put with mobile phone together. Normally IC card is not influenced by mobile phone.
On the first day, I mistakenly locked safety box in my room, and I asked front desk to send somebody to open the box, then 10 mins later hotel lady came in and she opened the box easily with key. After I saw it, I had never keep any valuable in the safety box in my room.
I was disappointed because I heard the blue sky hotel was best hotel in Uraanbaatar.

Room had crumbs on floor from pervious tenant. Bath / shower poorly designed.

Corner rooms bake in sunlight in summer, air conditioner struggles to keep up.

Good size however, despite poor layout.

Closet space large but badly designed, no way to hang trousers full length, need to attach hanger to corner or top of door.

Front desk service is very spotty

Breakfast is ok

View from sky lounge is great

I stayed at the Blue sky in a rest day during this years Peking Paris rally and it was a great place to relax after so much dust and noise . The sly bar was fun with the right level of entertainment , food and drinks . Our room was superb although there seems to be a strange idea that shiver rooms / toilets are screened from the bedroom with slightly opaque glass, now this. Isn't work for couples but as I was sharing a twin room with my co make driver I did find it slightly off putting to see him having a shower . Maybe it's local tradition .
Anyway other this architectural oddity it's a great place to stay in the middle of the city .
