Good and clean hotel. Location is convenient too. All the good stuff came to an end when someone opened my room locked door at 6:20am! The DND switch was on, doors were locked, but not latched as there was none. Could not sleep after that. So much for security...

I spent 6 nights in the Novotel. Either for the service or for the accommodation it was a very good experience. The room was clean and huge. The bed was of a very good quality. Everything is available in the room (robe, water, cafe and tea....)
The breakfast offers a good choice of salted and sweet products although some croissants could miss and fresh fruits are not available except water melon.
The persons at the desk are helpful and nice.
The hotel is well located at a walking distance of the very center of Ulaan Baator.
The ratio quality/price is worth. I warmly recommend.

i stayed in the hotel in August 2019, for a bi regional meeting. at first I was a bit nervous about going to Mongolia, but the whole experience was wonderful.
the staff was amazing, and all of them spoke English well. they were good at providing directions and tips on where to go.
i especially wish to mention the Chinese restaurant at the hotel. the food was so amazing, that I ordered it for 2 nights dinner even for room service.
the entire hotel was beautiful and modern. and the location of the hotel was walking distance to all popular places such as the square and even the malls. excellent stay and would love to go back.

Excellent location, beautiful lobby, very friendly and helpful staff. Overall this hotel is closer to a 5-star service than to a Novotel standard.
Our room was excellent, with a very comfortable bed, good sleep quality. We were allowed to check-in quite early, and that was very kind after arriving from a train ride. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, with many Asian delicacies. The Chinese restaurant is also very good with fair prices.
We have absolutely nothing to complain about this hotel and would recommend to anyone staying in Ulan Bator.

This is a good hotel, very centrally located in UB. It's walking distance to all the malls and restaurants in Sukbhaataar square area as well as on university avenue. It's quite new (opened in Sept 2018) so while the facilities are good, their staff are still figuring out how to relate to guests and serve their needs. The rooms are superb, large with well built furniture and tea/coffee making facilities etc. Their room service menu is not extensive, and their breakfast buffet remains unchanged day after day, which becomes dreary as you can imagine. Unfortunately if you want business facilities - nothing that is listed in their website and even in their own material actually exists - there is no meeting room, and there is no business center. Worst of all, their front desk staff are both incompetent and unable to communicate in English - all except one female staff member who not only understood english but also followed up on requests etc. This hotel, in spite of its good, clean rooms and central location, would not be our choice for another business trip. An efficient and functioning front desk is a must for a business hotel, and there are many other centrally located hotels in UB. So Novotel will have to improve fast if it wants to stay competitive.

Greetings from Novotel Ulaanbaatar.
Please be informed that our Hotel is a non smoking hotel (related to local laws) and we do not offer any rooms with balconies. We have indeed special assigned smoking areas both outside and inside the building.
