It was a bad experience for me and my friend on this hotel as our money got stolen. We lodge a complaint and the hotel manager Mr Assari let us view the Cctv and we all saw the housekeeping lady went into our room once we left the room for breakfast at the restaurant at the lobby. Within 1 minutes after we stepped out from our room, the housekeeping lady entered our room for 3 minutes. She didnt have the housekeeping trolley with her and this is at 0808 hours. The mgr said earlier she apologized to him because she is not suppose to enter our room. She justify saying; 1. She entered to take clean towels 2. She was inside for long time because she used our toilet 3. She swear she didnt take our money in our handbag as she even saw the laptop was inside the room as well but didnt take it 4. She said she is innocent and that God will punish her if she lied.
We feel that above is not good reason to enter into a guest room at this hour. The door room opposite us is open. She could have used that room if she really need to pee. Also how can our room have clean towels knowing that we have both checked in the day before? If she is to replace towels then this might be acceptable but it is not the case.
Mr Assari didnt give us any good solutions to us as he keep asking us what do we want in order to resolve this issue. He didnt admit it is his staff's fault. He didnt apologize to us either.
We would recommend not to stay at this hotel at all as the housekeeping will enter to the guest room as and when they like and worst part is, the management did nothing.
We also feel that the management is not looking at this incident fairly. He keep saying the lady been working there for 10 years. And keep saying she apologized. It felt like he is pointing fingers back at us by saying we should put money n valuables in the safety box. And said we could have had our money stolen outside of the hotel.
The cctv never lies. Proof she entered our room for 3 minutes is a fact.
In the end, we didnt get any compensation. We got his business card, that's it.

Good:
1) centrally located!
2) safe because there are staff monitoring who is coming in and out.
3) good choice of breakfast.
4) well-function refrigerator in the room with some soft drink (payable)
5) bellboy was very helpful (i don't remember his name)
6) receptionists are friendly and helpful as well. attended to my basic request.
7) clean room . good lighting.
Bad:
1) expired soft drink in the fridge! (1 dollar per can)
2) quite pricey for me (hahahaha)
Will come here again if happen to visit Phnom Penh once again.

Pacific Hotel was a pleasant surprise in the centre of Phnom Penh - and it is accessibly located, and known by the tuk tuks and drivers. I particularly like the fact their introduction to Cambodia and Khmer culture focuses off its recent tragic past and rather, on its heritage and hopeful future. I applaud a memorial to its terrible past - but not to the point it becomes its only identity for its visitors.
All staff are sweet, helpful, attentive - and extremely hard working! The rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated, enough room (not spacious); Bathroom is nicely equipped - everything works; the shower gel is decent! The restaurant/bar: food is good quality; healthy + usual classic meals; coffee/tea good quality. There's a pleasant spot to sit and linger in the reception area. All parts of the hotel corridors and living areas have been considered - tastefully designed and interesting facts displayed too.
By the way the gym is neat, and well equipped, like everything else - tastefully set up!
Finally, I was so happy to learn and share with others what is so obvious about the root meaning of 'pacific'.... I had never made the connection to its latin root - and certainly didn't know the story about how the deepest most unexplored ocean was named. V cool!
Thanks to all at Pacific! I've already recommended it to friends around the globe :-)

We stayed 4 nights. Nice place. Clean, good personel, not expensive. Ask for having a room in the back of the hotel, in the front side, there is a problem with WiFi. The breakfast is included and wuite a good one.

Dear Sir,
Unfortunately we don't, but we do have a restaurant that can accommodate up to 45 pax and has a big SMART television for you to show your presentation or PowerPoint slides if needed.
