This hotel has fairly small rooms (but not by European hotel standards) and the water never warmed up in the bathroom. The pool was really appreciated given the heat in the city. Our tour had pre-booked a traditional Khmer meal for us at the hotel. The food was tasty, and there was lots of it. It's close to the river and close to plenty of coffee shops, bars, and places to eat.

We stayed at Ohana for 3 nights and really enjoyed it we asked for a balcony pool view room which you can have one or the other so we choice the pool view whick was nice. The balcony rooms look ok but are looking straight over a small busy road which the markets start very early in the mornings. Our room was large and had everything you need and the staff are very helpful. Its central to everything and location is right on the riverside, heaps of restaurants and bars at your door step. The breakfast was good heaps to choice from would stay there again good hotel for the price you pay

I spent two nights here during an Intrepid tour. The location is great with the riverfront boulevard offering a great range of cafes / restaurants, easy access to some markets and tourist sites.
My room balcony offered excellent views of everyday Phnom Penh life in the market and street below. The room itself was older (possibly due for renovation) but spotlessly clean. One point to note is that the hotel doesn't offer hand soap in the bathroom amenities but, instead, there is plenty of liquid soap provided. Pack your own cake of soap if you're so nclined.
Breakfast was fine, other meals enjoyable and drinks are a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, the main pool was under renovation during my stay but the smaller plunge pools on the rooftop offered a cool respite fromthe heat.
Staff were all very helpful and friendly. I'd certainly recommend this hotel as very good value for money.

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review, it is very much appreciated as we truly value feedback from our guests. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the location of the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel, and that you found our staff to be helpful and friendly. It is true that we only offer liquid soap, the decision not to use 'bars' of soap was to reduce the wastage caused by throwing away many partially used 'bars' of soap. Yes, our pool is currently undergoing essential renovation which should be completed by 28.8.17, however, as you discovered our 2 roof-top infinity plunge pools with Jacuzzi are still open! Finally thank you for recommending our hotel and we are delighted that you found it to be 'good value for money'.

The Ohana is in a great location beside the river (Tonle Sap not the Mekong) which is handy for those that need a run before breakfast. Also lots of restaurants in the area. The staff were great and the room was a good size and relatively quiet. The pool is also worth noting as you can actually swim laps in it. Breakfast buffet was good with a good selection of everything.

Late night arrival had us wondering a bit. Lots of bars and activity, dark lobby but guest room large and functional. If you get a room overlooking street with balcony it may be noisier but watching the teeming neighborhood activity is entertaining.
Restaurant/bar on 7th floor is great setting morning/evening and prices very affordable. Also hot tub/cold tub on roof.
A few glitches: early morning wake up call we didn't request, late night persistent maintenance worker knocking on door - we didn't request.
Pool area on ground level shoe-horned into small space but very nice.
Good location for walking to tourist sights.

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review of the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel, your feedback is very much appreciated and will help us further improve the services we offer. We are pleased to hear you were satisfied with your room and enjoyed the roof-top restaurant and plunge pools. Regarding the 'glitches', many thanks for raising them and I will certainly look into them. Receiving a wake-up call that you did not request was most probably an unfortunate human error. As for a maintenance worker 'knocking' on your door late at night, this sounds very strange, and I will certainly investigate to find the reason for it (a stay date and room number would be very useful to assist in the investigation). Again thank you for choosing to stay at the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel, and we wish you all the best for your onward travels.
