The room was very large, clean and comfortable, AC, hot water and wifi were all good. Rooftop restaurant balcony was the best point in this hotel especially breakfast at morning overlooking the river and palace rooftops.
The location was good, half a block in from the river, very convenient to the Royal Palace and museum. There are lot of bars and massage parlors near by and food market next door. It was good value for money at good location. But the hotel looked slightly dated. I thought breakfast was more than adequate with made to order eggs, and fabulous fresh local fruit. The pool looked good although I did not used it The room was clean.

Not a good start when staff lie about not accepting Kip which was very inconvenient when arriving late in the eve.
Used sneaky tactics and preyed on our inexperience to rip us off.
Couldn't use the pool (or have a conversation) due to renovations, also going until very late in the eve.
There are plenty of choices of where to stay in Phnom Penh. For the sake of a nice room and great view from the jacuzzi, choose another place to stay.

Dear Caroline, many thanks for taking the time to write a review of the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel, and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your room and the views from our roof-top restaurant, bar and sun-terrace. Concerning the hotel not accepting Laotian Kip and 'ripping you off', we are unsure how this situation / confusion arose as you do not provide clear details. I have spoken to our Front Desk staff and they have no recollection of informing any guest that we accept Kip and then subsequently informing them that we do not accept Kip. The only currencies that we do accept are Cambodian Riel and US Dollars. It would be very useful if you could provide further details so that we may prevent a similar situation / confusion arising in the future.

Room fine although no hot water. Location By river and has a number of bars and clubs next door so plenty of cosmopolitan choice for eating. Internet good. Staff friendly. Overall ok stay and would stay again.

This place was cheaper than a lot of others, but the location was awesome.
Pros: location, value, super-friendly staff, wifi from reception would work on balcony, laundry service, massage across the street, market outside of the entrance, main bars/Sisowath quayside right outside, good pool
Cons: noisy location being so close to market and bars, laundry cost was extortionate, tired looking, wifi was $5 per day extra in room, breakfast wasn't great, restaurant being renovated when we stayed.
Overall a good hotel for the money, just remember some earplugs :)

had a sixth floor room on two recent visits which was very modern and clean. lovely balcony overlooking an interesting street. having visited Phnom Penh several times before i find the location is excellent and markets, riverside, tourist attractions are easily accessible. Roof top pool is a great place to rest in the middle of the day and views are fantastic. Breakfast was very good. only negative was the room is directly below the dining room and chairs and foot noises early morning on the wooden floors were a bit noisy. overall very good hotel with friendly staff.

Dear Darryn, this very much depends on how you book and who you book with. If you book with an OTA such as Agoda or Expedia normally you pay to them via credit card at the time of booking. If you wish to book direct with us via the Booking Engine on our website (ohanahotelpp), not only will you find the best rates, but no deposit or pre-payment is required. You can pay when you arrive at the hotel either in cash (Riel or Dollar) or by credit card (Dollar, MasterCard). I hope you find this information useful and we look forward to welcoming you to the Ohana Phnom Penh Palace Hotel soon!!
Dear Kyran, the prices are per room. For the best prices available you can book direct from our website ohanahotelpp. Kind regards!
The street is vey quiet, we were on the south side above the pool on the 5th floor so had views across the Kandal Market to the city,
