Riverside is truly the best place to stay if you have children. The amenities are amazing: pool, restaurant, spa, laundry facilities, coffee shop, small grocery store, and plenty of green space. There are always taxis waiting that can take you to the various parts of HCMC. The internet was pretty quick and we were very impressed with the customer service. We requested a room change when placed in a building close to construction. They were prompt and courteous and found us another location that better suited our needs. The apartments are well appointed and very spacious. The beds have the usual firmness expected when in Asia but we still slept fairly well.
All in all, you won't be disappointed while staying at Riverside. It was really hard to leave!
Stayed for a week for a business trip (client's location was within 1 km ) so didn't expect much - but left quite happy with the place.
1. Quiet -it is a residential area so I was surprised the place was still pretty quiet and relaxed,
2. Location and view - wonderful view of the river, taxis easy to get, and can walk (if you dare cross the highway on foot!!!! - that was an experience in itself)
3. Nice restaurant within the compound
4. Complete amenities for the easy traveller - laundry, food, minishop, tennis/basketball court/gym, coffee shop, tennis instructors, swimming pool
5. Rooms were decent and fairly large (I was alone but I can imagine the my suite able to take 4 people quite easily)
6. Internet everywhere.
7. Price is quite reasonable.
8. Not quite HCMC center but taxis are quite affordable.
9 . Staff quite helpful (and very polite)
Overall, pretty happy with my stay. And I will surely try to come back if I want some R&R.
Relaxing, beautiful place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Nice pool, decent (if overpriced) restaurant with view of the river and sunsets, tennis courts and well-equiped exercise room.
Rooms are a bit dated but tastefully furnished and clean.
There is a good playground for children.
One big turnoff, though, is I saw many dog-owner residents who let their dogs use the common green near the playground as a dog toilet. It is unsanitary and unclean. My kids were playing on that grass! I don't understand it because there is a fenced-in dog run on the property -- dogs should use that as their toilet, not the area children play on. Management needs to police this better.
Beautiful place with the sense of village feel. Feel like you are not in Saigon where is huddle busy and noisy all the time.
Big hotel along the river, very nice and relaxing.
Room is quite old, should have the toothbrush already in the room.
Slow check in and also have to deposite passport, if or 2 millions Dong, which the receptionist should advice in the 1st place. So I didn’t have to come back for it after checked in the room already and it is late night long trip.
Btw have been stayed in some service apartment such as Somerset, sherwood residence, etc but no where asked for deposite.
Stayed here during a business trip to HCMC. The apartments are a bit outdated, but very big and actually more suitable for long-term stays than short visits (the one I stayed at had two bed rooms, a bath, kitchen and big living room). There is a big swimming pool, gym and tennis court. Breakfast is served in the restaurant right by the river. What I particularly enjoyed was the small café in the compound, which served very good coffee as well as pastries, cookies and a few warm food options. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is apparently a boat shuttle service that takes you to the city center, but I didn’t try it and can’t comment on it. It’s definitely a nice place to stay at, especially if you don’t want to be in the midst of HCMC’s hustle and bustle.
