Casa Placencia is our go-to place when visiting Placencia. It is walking distance to the village hotspots and the beach, but far enough away from the noise and hubbub of the bar scene. We spent 10 days in the one bedroom upstairs apartment that has a full size refrigerator and stove to make meals instead of always going out. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a queen bed in the bedroom, cable TV (although I don’t know why you would want to stay inside), internet access, air conditioning and a verandah so we could enjoy the outdoors but have shelter from direct sun. We loved having our morning coffee, breakfast or lunch outside, and lounging in the hammock in the afternoon. There is a private pool if you don’t want to go to the beach, and bicycles to get around the area if you don’t feel like walking.
The owner Miss Jacki, lives on site and greets you with fresh baked goodies when you arrive. She has lived in Placencia for over 20 years, is well connected, and a wealth of knowledge. If you have a question, she probably knows the answer, or she will find it for you. Staying at Casa Placencia offers all the amenities of a big resort, but with the personal attention of staying with a friend.
We had a fabulous time at Casa Placencia, and highly recommend it if you want an extraordinary stay while in Placencia.
I have been coming to the beautiful village of Placencia for 10 years. Time and time again, I find myself back home at Jacki's lovely bed and breakfast, Casa Placencia. The rooms are always spotless, the staff accommodating, and the location a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility to the fun spots in the village. One of the best rooms is the 1 bedroom with great views off the private veranda. I highly recommend this place as I always find myself coming back year after year.
We loved our stay at Casa Placencia and would highly recommend! It is just outside of the town so it is away from the noise but only a 5-10 minute bike ride to the other end of town. We loved having the bikes to ride through the village. The backyard of this place is so beautiful! It's great for sitting in the pool, eating mangos off the trees, and watching the birds and lizards! The room was lovely and there were beautiful flowers waiting for us. One morning we even had some delicious brownies from Jacki! Jacki is a great host and provided recommendations for beaches and restaurants and organized tours for us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
I stayed for 4 nights at Casa Placencia, after a semi-stressful day getting from Caye Caulker, we realized there was a glitch in the system and the room I booked wasn't available, but no sweat, Jackie saved the day and hooked us up and made us feel right at home. It was such a nice place to stay, SO close to the beach to walk along to town is much nicer than the main road. Jackie left us cookies in our door that were delicious, and shared so much knowledge from her time living in Belize. Stay here! It's super cute and the bikes are a huge added bonus!!!
2 bedroom suite. Wifi only works at the kitchen table. Bedrooms are very small as well as kitchen. Hard to have more than 1 person at a time in it. Door to batheoom in back bedroom very sticky. Good location and use of bikes. No kayaks as advertised
