One of the best beaches in Playa del Carmen is Mamita's, where you'll find white fluffy sand and a sparkling blue sea. Mamita's Beach club is a magical place to hang out — with electronic music, a friendly crowd, and a great restaurant with Mexican and International menus; you could easily spend a whole day here.
5th Avenue is the icon of Playa del Carmen. Take a stroll and find Mexican and International restaurants, local bars, souvenirs shops, and plenty of artists and friendly people just one block away from the beach.
Discover delicious local flavors at El Fogon Mexican restaurant. Try the 'Tacos al pastor' (spicy pork tacos), which are fantastic, along with many other local tasty combinations.
This is a relaxing place just in front of the beach where you can have a drink or enjoy live music — such as salsa, merengue, or rock music. Plus, you can grab a delicious bite to eat here too.
While staying in Playa del Carmen, you must visit Cozumel Island — it's just 40 minutes away by ferry and is a beautiful experience. Cozumel has one of the biggest coral reefs in the world, and I highly recommend scuba diving or snorkeling here.
While in Cozumel, head down to Mr Sanchos Beach Club for an incredible beach, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food.
Don't miss the opportunity to see the incredible array of colorful fish found around this coral reef up-close. A snorkel tour here is a real adventure, and this is one of the most well known and highly recommended tours in the area.
It's a magical experience to see these Mayan ruins just next to the blue ocean and white sands. Whether you take a tour or go by yourself, you'll love the architecture and beautiful views here.
Ideal for nature lovers, this is one of my favorite attractions in Playa del Carmen. You can snorkel, cross an underground river, swim with dolphins, enjoy the Mayan show, and much more!
If you love music and a good time, you'll love Coco Bongo in Playa del Carmen! The night club hosts a fantastic three-hour show with a range of different artists and something for everyone. This is the must-go place for having fun, dancing, and making new friends.
